To impact the finals series ( and to make it there) we need to get consistently good efforts from our bottom six players. Ask yourselves how many times has our notional bottom six featured in the top six (or even top 10) players for a game. Our bottom six is in fact a bottom ten and we move 3 or 4 in and out each week

Hi Does Foxtel Go have all the replays and when are they available. Just went looking for yesterday's game ( now 16 hours on ) and no sign of the replay but I can see the earlier two games that were on FTA available as watch anytime. Thanks

Well you should have a good idea by end of round 15. Other than Collingwood in Round 12 which won't be easy the following three rounds look very difficult. Beat Collingwood and win two out of those three and there are grounds for limited optimism. Beating the 16th ranked team in the GC is better than losing to them a la Carlton and Essendon last year but we have such a long way to go.

Question.... does today's game make you more or less confident about the Collingwood game For me it tends to make me less confident ...... Collingwood are a 6 goal better team than GC especially if Moore contributes a couple of goals.
-
so you have a 100 metre sprint.... the guy behind knows that if he lets the other guy win by five metres by stopping at the ninety three metre mark .... the guy behind wins Weird rule especially when the rule was brought in to stop the infamous Hawk walk throughs Would prefer them to be a little harder on the DOOB as it was good for run on play.

In our defence .... we kicked 2 goals 7 in the second quarter. If it had been 6.3 or even 5.4 this would have been a good game for us. The forward line simply did not function in the first half. The backline played reasonably well and the mids held their own. Aaron Hall had a blinding first quarter and a reasonable second quarter but was far less effective in the second half. MFCSS was really alive in that first half but deservedly so. GC are deservedly 16th on the ladder and lost to Port at a neutral venue by over 60 points.

what time does the replay become available on Foxtel I may watch the second half with some good liquor thanks

That Freo loss was a bad one Just looking at their fixture 7 out of their first 10 games have been at Domain Stadium If not already I think one can say they will miss the 8 along with Brisbane and Carlton the math looks hard for Collingwood (almost impossible if we beat them on QB)... Swans and hawks hanging on by their finger nails That leaves 12 teams seriously vying for the eight

that's a hard choice ... and if they draw?
-
crowd was estimated at 5000 (less than a good game at Casey) ...... not a good way to stay relevant to the mainstream audience
-
Was beginning to wonder if we would ever take a mark in the forward 50

From the AFL website: Nathan Jones was huge in the third term, picking up 12 disposals, 234 metres gained, six score involvements and two goals. Melbourne came home with a wet sail in the third quarter, kicking the last five goals, all from intercepts, to hit the lead with 18s to go. Between the 8th minute and the 23rd minute, the Demons went inside 50 16 times to the Suns' once.

did you have to remind me.... I thought they were just bad dreams
-
ok.... other than kicking straight .... what is happening
-
Have we been here before..... seems familiar but as it always has an unhappy ending I have done my best to blank out the memories
-
strangely enough we could still win this but somehow I do not care
-
wind has dropped to 20kms with occasional gusts up to 30..... it hit its peak 15 mins into the first quarter at 41 kph Not sure what if anything it means but I thought I would mention it
-
why do we choose to play in heat against a team that trains week in week out in warm conditions. Probably makes little difference in that we are so bad but it demonstrates what a joke of a club we are to the rest of the comp.
-
From the AFL website: Aaron Hall was phenomenal for the Suns that quarter, with 10 disposals, five inside 50s, five score involvements and a goal. He also had an incredible 448 metres gained, the most in a quarter of any player this season. Jayden Hunt has been Melbourne's best metres gained player this year, averaging 450m per game. He had a total of negative 11m for the quarter from just three disposals.

most of our kicks were up and unders that fell short in the wind When we tried to run and carry we stuffed up the handballs Lucky GC are bad but honestly we thought we were a top 8 team ...
-
terrible venue .... terrible time slot Crowd looks like a VFL size crowd..... And we wonder why this team is going nowhere
-
ANB !!!! and I thought Bugg was a bad shot
-
our last three games against GC in Alice have averaged out at losses by 7 goals .... so if we beat them by 21 goals we will have a winning average !!
-
low scoring game and lots of easy misses considering the venue Thought it would be a better game ........... I found last night's a bit of a yawn .......... tired of scrappy rugby scrum type play I suppose

didn't notice the wind... could be a factor if it continues at that strength. It is however predicted to lessen later in the day: Mostly sunny. Light winds becoming south to southwesterly 20 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening
