  1. Should not have played this week.
  2. Yep and we know how that story ends. Amazing how we refuse to play the corridor
  3. MFC rarely give you a stress free game. It's either the other team scoring or us missing sitters. Not much fun
  4. This is getting to an unenviable position methinks
  5. Conservative arrogance.... boundary line attacks and being smashed on the rebound
  6. Been debated for a long time. NT pays us close to $1M for this match. What is strange is that we are playing a Melbourne based club whereas in the past it was usually an interstate club. If played in Melbourne we would have got a crowd of 30-40k at most which would return maybe $200k. ( Around 25k is considered the unpublished break even number for the MCG). For me I like it as it helps avoid the killer game in Darwin
  7. That Freo win did us no favours. When you're two games and percentage behind you need both to win three games while the competitor loses three. Not the easiest of tasks when Freo has two games against the Eagles and a decent home ground advantage. A long way to go. Hawks play the Dogs next week. A Hawks win puts the Dogs within our sights
  8. Binge shows the AFL when the game is on free to air. Where a game is not on national free to air is the grey area. Seems that such games are a "blackout". Makes sense otherwise but for Saturdays Binge would canibalise Kayo. Binge is in its death throes I suspect now that HBO has gone.
  9. Currently 13 degrees in the Alice after an overnight low of 3.2. No wind to speak of with around 19/20 degrees expected by game time and bright sunshine.
  10. He's never replicated that amazing debut at Casey unfortunately. Agree that Casey desperately needs a crumber if only for teaching the talls how to co-ordinate with a crumber
  11. Love the optimism I haven't done the numbers but we'd need to win them all bar one or two. Memories of 87
  12. A very strong game Mr Fence. The next two weeks are very important for young Matt. Needs to continue showing a physical style of game. Casey really need a small forward to assist in his development My guess is that JVR will be the first to get the call up. Petty staying forward is the main cause of the log jam.
  13. Amazing last quarter. Turnovers disappeared and we simply bludgeoned the ball forward. When you would expect JVR and Jeffo to cash in it was everyone else. As a useful development game... 6.5/10. Would have got closer to 8 but for the never ending turnovers in the first three quarters. Unfortunately Tholstrup was middling but I'll keep an eye on Culley over the next few weeks. Might drop into Vic Park for next week's game.
  14. You can see our soccer skills coming to the fore as Tholstrup soccers a goal
  15. Culley is worth a watch given the Viney/Laurie issues. Casey scoring at ease
  16. Yze Strong ground play for a goal
  17. Great transition for a behind
  18. Blunt force giving the result but could do better
  19. Tholstrup having a solid quarter
  20. Great goal by Jeffo on the siren. System wise ... atrocious
  21. Great mark by JVR who kicks out of bounds
  22. wow strong marks by Yze and Jeffo Jeffo goals Impressive but no system yet
  23. Three missed tackles (unacceptable) and Swans goal
  24. Disposal is horrible
