NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022
My guess is that a Bulldogs victory doesn't really help.If anything it further entrenches Geelong in the top 4

NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022
Sensing some upsets... Hope it's not us Bombers to roll the Swans perhaps

Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
Great news

Farewell Luke Jackson
We may have been too nice but that is our way. The old bluff and bluster along the lines of "he's a required player and in the unlikely event he leaves we will be needing a record high trade" is not in our repertoire. Probably wouldn't work anyway except that it might make the supporters feel better

What's Our Best Team Look Like?
Baker won't be delisted. He might ask for a trade but he's solid depth Hunt.... delisted (what can one say) The others will retire as Majak already has

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
From the first time I saw him grab a pack mark at Williamstown (mistook him for Weideman) I thought he could be special. Why Goodwin played him down back in 2018 I will never understand. In his draft year many said we should get him in the third round whereas I argued he would go late second. How appropriate that we used pick 31 for number 31 who did the greatest 31 proud in 21.

TMac Finals Return?
9 weeks until the first final Can't see it especially if the forward line is functioning. If we fell into the 8 that would be another matter

Ruck stocks 2023
While Bell has showed promise he has only played 3 or 4 games for Casey and his competing ruckman has on most occasions not been stellar. Too early at present to make a call

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
Correct about the 3 x $750k offer... It was enough for the Kangaroos to table a lucrative three-year deal reportedly worth $750,000 a season at the start of the year - an offer Brown and manager Adam Ramanauskas rebuffed. https://au.sports.yahoo.com/afl-2020-ben-brown-north-melbourne-contract-caroline-wilson-footy-classified-032544368.html

Farewell Luke Jackson
so what draft pick do you want
-
Ruck stocks 2023
TBH you would probably get better value turning Weid into a ruckman. Ruckmen who can also contribute in a meaningful way around the ground are not easy to find.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Freo is arguably in a similar "flag window"
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
Getting to the point where this is now more than a distraction. Anyway if he goes I want a player and a top 5 draft pick. If Freo I'd be demanding Darcy assuming Brayshaw is off limits. If it's the Eagles I want them to facilitate the transfer of Jason Horne Francis from North. If LJ commands the biggest contract ever we should also be demanding sky high compo

Majak Daw Retires
Pre covid the Casey players rarely trained with the AFL listed players even those who were not vying for senior selection. It makes sense in that AFL players are full time and train during the work day as compared to VFL players who have outside full time jobs

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
Good point. While they weren't 60 point losses our three losses involved turnarounds of 50-60 points. Hopefully we are through that patch

The Run Home
8 games left Win four and we are 15 wins which normally gets you 4-6 Win 5 and we would be unlucky not to be top 4 Win 6 it's second or third Win 7 and we should end on top Going to be a wild ride Wins against Adelaide and Geelong would be a great start and of course there's Port in the Red Centre

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Good idea but too much resistance given that you are upsetting two clubs
-
NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Probably too late to merge North with the Suns but it could be worth doing the sums. No one has an appetite for 19 teams unless we move to an 18 round season. With say three split weekends you would end up with a 21 week season so really not that much different to now. I suppose there are so many clubs hooked on blockbusters it might not work

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
JKH and Stretch used to regularly have 30 possessions in the VFL but they couldn't deliver at the next level. A lot of those possessions were in close handballs. To my eyes VFL is slower which means it's more prone to packs and there is far less breaking of the lines. Rivers was strangely down yesterday and didn't see much of the ball. I'd like to see him on a wing or similar for a half or so. I suppose it's hard to get excited about M Brown kicking a bag as it has little upside. A little surprised to see Melksham in the best players. Game was okay but.... And why did Dunstan see so little of the ball. All round a strange game

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
Chandler had a great third quarter but was only serviceable for a lot of the rest of the game. Agree for such a massive win there was not much to excite

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Okay From an MFC perspective (other than a draw) what is the preferred result of the Kitty Fight
-
NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
That top 4/5 is looking very crowded. Take a wrong step and you could quickly drop to fifth. Ruing that loss to the Pies
-
CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
Rivers has a lazy shot out of defence to two Suns players resulting in a snap goal to the Suns
-
CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
Wouldn't mind an occasional entry into the corridor by Casey
