I shall wait for the morrow to don my red and blue glasses. Could be "moving day" for a few teams Dare we dream about top spot ??
-
You mean they're not 22 Carat gold. Go away...next you'll be telling us there's no Santa Claus !!!

I'm convinced that our stunningly well performing offensive structure will make this game a foregone conclusion by half time. Fireworks from centre clearances will revive memories of bang bang bang. Spargo could kick 6 plus give Fritsch a few. Then Demonland will worry all week as to whether we have peaked too soon and demand a week of loading

Here's a few from Big Footy 1.Banner tomorrow night: WHO NEEDS DINNER WHEN WEVE OVERINDULGED AT ENTREE (COTE) 2.I vote we quack at him all night 3.Hmmm back to their winning form by beating a team that didn't actually turn up? 4. And my favourite: I love it when everyone hates us again

Dinner suit White or black tie Cummerbunds should not be too showy

I think BA was asking about $$ My guess is he wants around $750k x 2 but would take $600 x 3
-
Strange to say the least if true I could understand GCS doing it to increase attendances but why when you have Daniher, Hipwood and Cameron would you want an ageing Buddy
-
Love Demonland This was the only change likely given the big win but we still managed 18 plus pages in the weekly change thread

Who knows He plays a Lever type game down back so he'll need a very different style up forward. Perhaps his role is more upfield a la Tom Mac allowing BBB to play deeper forward The remaining two VFL games are against Carlton and Brisbane who are currently fifth and third on the ladder so they will be decent tests

Thanks....Didn't appreciate what a relatively low value pick 14 has. As you say they will be desperate for picks. Seems that Father Son isn't what it used to be. In simple terms you get a pick 1 at round about a pick 5 price. Then again there is the need for another club to nominate him as Number 1 etc. I see the Dogs took Darcy as a 2 pick last year
-
Young Ashcroft has nominated for Brisbane under the father/son rule. He was rumoured to go number 1 in the draft. Does this help Freo to get Brisbane's first round pick which I assume will be around 16-18 by trading a bundle of lesser picks

He might have if the VFL team didn't have a bye

Eddie Betts opens up on the weird camp
Diamond_Jim replied to John Crow Batty's topic in Melbourne Demons
Salem... backpack....bricks Let's hope this stupidity never repeats itself To Eddie it obviously impacted you badly and for that reason alone we as a footballing community owe you much more than an apology -
Let's hunt some "Billiards" Jethro

Watched his game on Saturday. He got a few touches in the last third of the game but little of merit IMO. Needs another 2-3 games minimum Joel is permanently unlucky it seems. He has returned from injury around 4 weeks late to really challenge and the VFL bye is simply cream on top of his unlucky pie
-
To use OD's terminology.... that would be corageous Has rarely played forward . Has scored 1 goal 2 behinds in his career. Back after 16 odd weeks out and didn't star on Saturday. Our only key forward... I doubt it
-
Agree Melksham did enough to retain his spot. Can he sustain it over the next 5 plus weeks. Not sure but he's certainly performing better than his mid season inclusion
-
Interesting discussion re the premiership odds I was more surprised about being red hot favourites against the Pies

You only get 80k these days if the game is one for which attendance is pre-planned. The classic example is the Anzac day clash which for competing supporters is often a must book early game (FOMO). There's simply not enough time in one week to "build the book". Anything near 70k would be a great result

Used to think the odds reflected the smart thinking but not anymore Apparently we are still almost equal favourite with Geelong for the flag at around $3.25
-
Not into commenting upon the physical appearance of footballers but hell... Lobb looks like Lurch with that dyed hair
-
Interesting At the time the experts always said to avoid the wings as it simply took too long to go that way Would it now be a different game... who knows. Stadium wars are back in the news in NSW with the State Government saying they will no longer invest in the suburban NRL grounds
-
Must admit I thought the same... This one is owned by Woolworth's it seems
-
were we loading in all the other games They have our game plan down pat Sure we might win but percentage wise they have proved themselves superior
-
For those who think he has a role watch the replay 14:30 into the last quarter... so far under the ball it was amusing JVR isn't ready but................
