  1. 4 more years. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-03-19/goodwin-signs-on-until-the-end-of-2022 https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2019-03-19/coach-signs-on
  2. He’s gonna need some help in the ruck if he’s wearing that thing. Use the Force, Paddy!
  3. If I die at our winning Grand Final I have advised my fellow Dees tragics to go full “Weekend at Bernie’s” style with me for the duration of the celebrations.
  4. Lee Gaskin is from Adelaide so that explains him. Who knows why Barrett would pick them. But seriously, most people on the AFL.com list are the Who’s who of “Who?”
  5. If we win the Premiership then this needs to be put up 50ft tall on the side of a building in the CBD.
  6. Here’s how I’m seeing this having come about. Credit to The Oatmeal
  7. And this was the official AFL app promoting the Collingwood/GWS game last year. They are on very shaky ground.
  8. I’ll repeat what other have said above : Cam Pederson - all class. Very nicely written letter.
  9. Who the hell is this guy? Whatever.. he says we’re challenging so I like him.
  10. Y’know.... it’s really not the fact that May got 1 week for this that bothers me. It’s that I am certain that in 5 to 6 rounds time this will not be applied to the same standard of consistency and the AFL will just ignore the difference.
  11. https://tenplay.com.au/sport/sport-news/2019/3/7/afl-player-jack-lever-taking-his-time-with-reconstructed-knee Here’s the video if anyone hasn’t seen it. Apparently Channel 10 think he’s changed his name to “Jack” Lever as well. ?
  12. Coach = Paul Roos Would like to see Daniel Cross in there too.
  13. Further to the above are there not certain infringements that result in a bounce at the top of the goal square? The first scenario listed is probably no longer relevant but I guess the second is still possible?
  14. I've been there for a lot of good games but in recent times: Round 20 in 2016 - we finally beat Hawthorn. I think I watched that replay more than a dozen times. It was the first time that I could see what we were building was actually going to work. Gawn was great that day as was Viney.
  15. Combining car companies and insurance seem to be a thing with AFL clubs: Richmond had Jeep and Bingle Swans had Volkswagen and QBE Collingwood had Holden & CGU And then there is the teams with long term car deals like Ford/Geelong, Crows/Toyota, North/Mazda, Port/Renault and so on. Can’t recall Saints or Footscray ever having a car sponsor - not long term anyway. I’m sure there are many others that I’m forgetting.
  16. Went to that game and sat behind the goals with a Pies supporting mate (really it’s his only personality fault). When Wonna kicked that goal we were both up out of our seat cheering like madmen - that’s how electrifying that moment was. That game was a moment of light in some dark times.
  17. A fine effort by Burgo to see us through the tough times. One fine Melbourne day we will look back on his fine performance and realise just how fine it was. (Thanks Burgs)
