Ok I'll bite. Yes I think that's a good idea and especially that we shouldn't play the national anthem before the corporate Grand Final. I don't actually have a problem with acknowledging Anzac Day at the game itself given its importance in our national story. But I reject the conflation of the game seemingly being promoted as THE recognition of the remembrance. Of course most of the Australian population don't even know who is playing so it's either irrelevant or an extraordinary case of inflated self importance

I lived out at the end of a road on the banks of the Yarra in Kangaroo Ground. A nature reserve. The first settler there was a digger back from WW1 who was a hermit and wanted the peace.
