  1. How did Cox break Cripps ribs? Did Maynard help him ?
  2. But what about the umpires or the AFL?
  3. Quick who can I blame?
  4. According to all precedence this and last season it's careless ,severe and high( head). Ticks those boxes ..its actually pretty straightforward even if we can accept, (easily enough) ,,that he didn't expect to concusss or even hurt Brayshaw, merely smother his kick. The penalty is set in the book...appeals come after that so he can get off or maybe just one week The Pies were smothering lazy kicks all night
  5. Guys it's really not difficult He ticks boxes there is a penalty applied. It's written down in the rules Careless( probably), intentional ( probably not)high, severe impact( definitely) After that the appeal and this new born " football action" fantasy shirtfronts the process of the last two(?) seasons regarding the sacrosanct nature of the noggin. Meanwhile the Dee's have more relevant matters to attend to
  6. In theory Taking the biggest defender is traditionally the argument justifying TMac BBB has shown that at best he has half a game in him and, in line with the history of forward entries ,and as recently as last thursday, the mids don't kick to forwards presenting on a lead....which is Browns natural way of playing . But I accept you were just observing that he looked ok. Surely Smith ,Langdon and Grundy in some last gasp combination are more realistic choices ,albeit pretty ordinary. Max stays behind the ball
  7. Tell me you're joking about BBB...pleeease. A forward line built around TMac and BBB is ...........difficult to justify
  8. What is disturbing is that's actually not news to anyone who actually watches the way they play...even when they are up and running. Taking a shot at Brayshaws choice of kick is ignoring the fact its not a one off .
  9. I don't dispute that his injury was both reportable or a factor in the loss. I just think its more relevant to say that the 7 points rather suggests the Pies arnt flag favourites. And also that given the Dee's played "spooked " for one quarter,"scrambled" for the next two, then choked in the last, they are hardly likely to take their dysfunctional and injury riddled front half to a rematch this season. It's a pitythough, because knocking both Collingwood and Carlton out in one series would be a September for the ages
  10. So you are saying that 2 sessions are enough to top up on thd skills ,systems and available players they have had 2 seasons to get right and clearly you didn't watch either Brisbane or GWS yesterday. Anyway perhaps they might try and beat Carlton first. Geez there's one eyed and there's denial
  11. All in all its irrelevant beyond the injury to Brayshaw. It's not why Collingwood won or Melbourne lost and and in fact the Pies will be more worried about Brisbane and perhaps even GWS than anything else. Maynard or not I doubt that they are flag favourites any more Toby on Daicos..I'd like to see that
  12. Yeah he'll be out until the appeal, then he'll be back in .
  13. Dud you not say QF losers were historically likely to win the flag? If you didn't then I apologise, but the fact is they are statistically much more likely not to. Of course with no forward line to speak of and having lost the QF should the Dee's win the flag it would be truly a sporting triumph Anyway as far as stats go the seasons forward 50 entries per half is the most relevant one. Perhaps the only relevant one
  14. Judt a banged up forward line including one of the best bricks in the previous defensive wall ( which was the best in the competition What has rolling over to do with supporters understanding that the unlikeliest victory is exactly that..!! Now the coach and the players...they won't be rolling over...that's relevant. Should they win it will be because of their commitment, not yours
  15. I think you got the " facts" about QF losers wrong
  16. Since " chaos ball" days there has been quite some improvement in the list but what hasn't improved is decision making in the contest, disposal skills or composure across the ground. You can see it down back when Jake is marshalling the " troops" and Petty would know where to go and what to do,but that finishes past the centre square
  17. My guess is that's just wrong But it should be easy to check if anyone thinks it's relevant to a teams future chances
  18. Save some money and jstf up so I can talk to my company or even the bloke I don't know sitting next to me
  19. Maybe he didn't mean to do it..which makes it careless rather than attempted murder. Whatever the penalty is for the boxes he ticked Jack was probably more considered with his wild right hook. What if that had landed? If you wanted outrage wait until the Pies get Maynard off on appeal !!!
  20. That's why a red card and off the ground for 10 minutes makes sense
  21. The best bit about that is that Max can play behind the ball when he's not rucking. It's not as if he's a gun forward himself
  22. Where did this " football act " come from? Was it just last week or have I not been paying attention? Both possibilities are likely( smile)
  23. He's my tip so that you carry on disliking me Guilty careless, severe;2 weeks or whatever the rule says. Appeal because now there is this "football act" invention Overturned on appeal free to play All that is in doubt is whether is a speedy process or it takes to the Thursday before the Prelim
  24. Kossi an almost game Needs to put meat on his obvious talent. " nearly " is getting old
