  1. I believe I posted a week ago about the 3 years on the other JW thread so no surprise there! A very good result for the club and can't wait to see the untapped potential from this bloke!
  2. By the way, love that quote at the bottom. Sums up life in general!
  3. Yes! He isn't a gun yet, just a potentially good player! Good players in the VFL are many inc. Magner, Couch, Sellar, Pedersen etc etc. It should have no bearing on whether a PP is handed out! As I said PP should be scrapped for all time!
  4. After this announcement the AFL should just scrap the potentail for priority picks in the future effectively immediately! There is no way any club in the future would be more deserving than the period of ineptitude we have endured! We do need to move on from this and put faith in the leadership of the MFC including PJ and PR to make the right decisions moving forward! And if the AFL is truly serious about equalisation I look forward to my beloved Dees playing between 6-10 Friday?Saturday night games next year!
  5. Agreed! Looking for PRoos to sort him out! Expected the dotted line signed by now. Terms etc have been agreed to
  6. G I ran 51.7 when I was 12 so it isn't ultra fast (or maybe I was fast!) but he has a great ticker and will die for the club so we just need more of those!
  7. Hopefully JT2 does become a star and help me forget the fact we overlooked Ollie Wines!
  8. I know we are interested in Scott Selwood but what is annoying is that we should have had him already! In the 2007 draft we took Adam Maric at 21 and next to go was S Selwood at 22! Although the same draft we did take Cale Morton at 4, leaving P Dangerfield to go at 10! Roos and co will leave no stone unturned to get hte right players to the club!
  9. Another rumour just across my desk is that on Roos trip to Perth recently Dale Garlett was spoken to! Thoughts?
  10. Have been away but that was spot on! But only a whisper. Martin likely to take his long tail between his legs and return to Tigerland. A certain manger seems to be the bigger problem here!
  11. Only thing I have heard is we are interested but Mr Roos is casting the net far and wide so expect some surprises!
  12. Have heard a whisper that a 3 way deal between us, Tigers and GWS might be in the gun! GWS would get Martin but Richmond not happy with pick offered. We come in with Pick 2 and we get Taylor Adams and a lower pick. Other picks swapped between all parties! Hmmm....
  13. Mitch not on more and we don't want to be paying that sort of money for this type of player! Firm no!
  14. As I have said on another post, we don't want to start offering overs to any player we are wanting to join our club. Geelong does this beautifully, if someone wants a lot more money they say goodbye, but who would leave them. We need to start a culture of players being happy at the club and players wanting to come here! Paul Roos is the first block in that building. I truly believe he will draw players to the club and we won't have to pay 'overs!' So no to Martin and yes to Adams but not at a ridculous price!
  15. It will also come down to dollars offered gentlemen
  16. 2nd and 3rd efforts are what I am talking about and in most games I have seen they are non- existent! I relish the fact he will stay and can improve, but that improvement can only come from increasing his fitness levels and a genuine hard go at every contest, with extra effort where needed!
  17. Absolutely no way at 700k! Totally against even entertaining the possibility of getting this deal done! There are many better and more stable players we should be throwing this money at!
  18. 7 news has confirmed that Roos has defnitely spoken to Martin's manager
  19. Have heard a small whisper that it will be on the footy show on Thursday! However the source has only a 50/50 record!
  20. Heard from one of my customers who is a huge financial backer of the Tigers. However with Martin going it will come to nothing!
  21. We have plenty of room in the cap with recent retirements/delistings and frontal contract payments. Highest paid players at the club, Clark and Dawes command a mil a season between them but we have front paid a fair portion of this. We have plenty of room but I seriously (like Geelong) do not want to be paying massive overs for a player, that creates a spin off effect to other players we want to recontract etc
  22. If he has been offered that much then I say a definite no! No way should we be paying that much for a person who is deemed a troublemaker at Richmond! We don't need that sort of culture!
  23. Players generally don't play on at a club they were delisted from
