  1. LOL. The bf Freo board has a thread called 'Roast - Vent Here'. They must be wearying - just little wimpers this week rather than the earlier maddening rage.
  2. Great! Thank you. I'm sure DL's will be relieved to see it each week and appreciate your work. Haha, you have the pleasure of quoting the Freo fans in a few weeks. It will make fascinating reading. I look forward to catching up on what they and DL's say when I return from sunny Queensland! ps. I don't recall why I hijacked this thread from you a few years ago - you are welcome to take it back permanently, if you wish.
  3. haha some people are hard to please🤣
  4. More info please. Don't recognise the reference to 'Bogan 1'.
  5. au contraire, I suspect your suit of armour is impenetrable! 🙂 But really, coffee served in polystyrene cups inside a cafe😮. OMG, right there a line was crossed by the establishment. At least they served the red wine in a glass; a stemmed glass at that! Some standards must be maintained!
  6. I won't be around much to do these for the rest of May so if someone would like to take over these reports, you are welcome. @Queanbeyan DemonI think this was your gig before I hijacked it...
  7. Very easy task this week: only a page and a bit to wade through. Unsurprisingly their few fans are not that engaged. I'm not saying i'd sell my soul (if i had one) for a win…Buuuuuuuut.... Finally had good communication and run and carry against Richmond. Demons will be a totally different task. Our midfield will need to be on fire and our forward line will need to click as well. If we bring our third quarter for the whole game we'll win. Unlike the previous 2, this isn't a must win for me, but we can't be carved up. unlucky for melbourne playing such an inform team like the suns. Ha just their luck coming up against such an in form formidable opponent. Let’s keep the loss under 10 goals, dees will be coming in hot after pumping a poor kangas team If we could some how pinch this one, it would be huge, especially with WC the following week and getting us to 4-4 Melbourne are getting a bruise-free training drill before next week. Saturday arvo 4.30. At least if it's thrashing the rest of the footy world will have forgotten about it by lunchtime Sunday if not 10pm Saturday
  8. Our accuracy will come down when good teams force us wide with shallow kicks i50 or to the pockets. But it is unlikely that will happen to the same degree as last year. We have a better system this year to center the ball deep i50. It won't work all the time but it looks sustainable.
  9. Somewhat surprisingly Joyce resigned today. Will depart after a 6 month handover to new CEO.
  10. A reason for our accuracy is, like 2021 we are centering the ball deep i50 which is great for our small/medium players or anyone who marks. It certainly beats the wide boundary or the 45-50 mtr shots from last year
  11. I thought it was off the table to keep it away from your companion who seems to have only a coffee cup...😉 And talking of coffee cups? Polystyrene 😮 !!!
  12. I rang the club. Short wait on the phone then sorted within 5 minutes of answering. Offer ends tomorrow so if you don' get a code try the club.
  13. Maybe it is the other way round...
  14. I was responding to the poster that suggested NB had been removed from mfc website. The NB logo is on the bottom front of the jumper.
  15. Merge them with Hawthorn who will also lose that funding. They have sold their pokie venues and if they wallow at the bottom of the ladder for a few years they will lose members and have an expensive white elephant at Dingley. 🤞🤞🤞 Or merge them with their WBD neighbours!!
  16. Still on Home page And on the Sponsors web page.
  17. Correct. After 8 years. Jordon has only been around 4-5 years but because we 'delisted' then rookied him to accommodate covid list sizes, that delisting made him a UFA whenever he is OOC at mfc.

Thanks. It will probably be easier and cheaper if I buy guest passes to the mfc reserved P level bays in the SWS
  19. Yes, I guessed their possible salary ranking. I'm thinking of just making them all 'FA'. Quite a swathe of 10 year UFA's! Unfortunately, players OOC in the second half of this decade will mostly retire or are UFA's so we will lose about half of our 2021 premiership team; a real talent drain. Young players will come through but it will be tough replacing those that go.

I just bought some Kozzy $36 GA memberships.🙂 Went to Ticketek to upgrade them and to get reserved seats for Coll game but got this message: Tried the same thing for other home games but got the same message. Any help on how to upgrade/reserve seat ticket would be appreciated. TIA
  21. Not sure it was Oliver that killed the game. It was a real team result for all four quarters. He had a lot of possessions but how effective were they? I don't have the quarter by quarter figures but overall he wasn't in the top 4 for any of: tackles, i50's, goal assists, meters gained. His 7 votes are very well deserved but it annoys me when people just look at his possession count to assess his (or anyone's) contribution to a result. And it annoys me when someone takes a cheap 'drive by' shot at one of our players: Bloody Trac is why Clarry won’t win a Brownlow by the way. Like @DemonlandI'll take premierships and NSM over Brownlow every day of the week.
  22. But hasn't been selected since available which is why I have him in the 'emergency' category. In Gawn and Petty we have better options.
  23. That is most probably true. However, our system is designed to have two talls in our forward line: a combo of: Brown, TMac, Gawn, Schache, Petty but we don't have the Curnow/McKay, Cameron/Hawkins, Daniher/Hipwood duos. So, as I see it our talls are not there to kick goals. They are there to give us 'aerial presence' and stop the trillion i50 intercept marks of yesteryear. They are to stop opp tall defenders from playing as a 'spare' in a contest. Their job is to mark or bring ball to ground. To support this view, collectively, they have kicked just 22 of our 120 goals this season. As long as our defence holds up and in the absence of an alternative, Petty will play forward altho there is still plenty of time to experiment with who are the two talls each week. imv Brown and TMc don't have that 'aerial presence' any more and I suspect it is Brown's knee and TMc's foot that inhibit their leap. They are now in the 'break glass in emergency' category.
  24. Very hard to support this. In the two games we lost we were without Max and either May/Lever and a wonderful new kid in McVee learning the ropes. Our lowest score has been 93 pts and our winning margins: 50pts (WBD scored 65 pts), 50 points (Syd scored 84 pts), 63 points (WCE scored 63 pts), 18 pts (Tigers scored 78pts) and 90 pts (North scored 49 pts) Even in our two losses the ops score have been 2 and 4.5 goals. That doesn't look like a porous defence to me.
  25. Not sure about that. I might ride their 'death train' along with GWS supporters who hold the Tigers first pick; a pick we may want to trade up for.
