I do think Umpires have an ongoing responsibility to protect the upper part of the body including the head and neck, just like rugby purportes to be doing, and probably isn't. A few folk on this site like to have a different perspective on things and that's ok, but there is no longer an argument that the Earth is flat either.

Well I don't agree. I'm not only referring to our games but all games. There are a host of retribution frees and frees done on whims and think it happened frees every week. Footscray get a myriad of frees winning or losing.

Just one small point it's not the number, it's when they are given, it's the consistency from week to week and rule emphasis to rule obscurity.

Not for me. they both go missing sometimes and that is natural and depends on a lot of different thing. They both kick goals on different days. Macca had to play his 200 in the ones and was suitably rewarded., and deserved it. Why wont weid replace Macca in a couple of weeks if needed? Not over by a long stretch.

Well we haven't. We have been having a free ride so far this year and we need to show Teams what we can play like.The Media have been very fair to us and so have the umpires. I don't want any excuses..I want us to earn our place from now on and be careful of the back pushing, holding and NIL disputations.
