There is a bloke i remember played in the middle in three Champion sides in the fifties Laurie Mithen, who i actually saw play play but i wasn't really interested because i liked tennis and running more. He and Adams, who used to be able to run, were pretty versatile too.... read the book 125 years of Melbourne Demons. Townsend and Kenny Emselle and Barassi were, when together in the middle, a Champion Midfield.

Umpires obviously starting their rubbish decisions quite early this season. Clarry or anyone for that matter gets pushed through marking contests or packs of any kind should be watched by the powers/t/b closely. Most players relax at whistle and idiots pushing players into fences or packs can cause harm. Grow up Umpires and be on to it.........

I reckon the Runners and the Umpires should be replaced by real Robots, who can bounce the ball properly, umpire without bias and be much more up with the Game. How could anyone disagree with that..........
