Match preview and team selection - Round 4
Willmoy1947 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hey Jib, do you know if his brothers have had "run with" roles this year, or are just free to go? -
Yep, much rather have a coronary at home surrounded by empty stubbies and friends than full idiots and uncomfortable noise.........
-
After viewing the Picken injury several times tonight, i'm initially surprised but glad that Gus has the nod from the Club to make his presence felt at the main game this Sunday. He is one of my favourite players, and as with the Picken lad, he deserves only our best wishes for their footy futures.

You only have to watch the body language on Fox to see that there is a degree of discomfort between the four oracles. Maybe just a question of teething in, but looks a bit more like a "horning in chief" on the horizon...... I don't want this show stuffed, because everyone had cohesion and common sense, but...........

Not since the Bubonic Plague has one maggot affected so many, by so few, in such a short time.......

Lewis is still here though.............

DD, many aspects of Aussie Football go in cycles, particularly the size and value of All Players and this depends on many things, especially the Rules and the Administration. At the mo the little fast fellas are "king pin" but mark my words, this will change. Sort of like tall forwards and "good umpires"

Thanks for that Picket......

On baller........

Do his hair????

I thought that they might run us close for a while until i realised who was out, and this bloke always puts in a good one against us in Burgoyne. . I think that Mitchell is overrated, and O'meara can damage us more. But we have the advantage of a lot of inside information that will be well utilised. That said, and by the way Lewis jumped up like a Demon after a big hit last week i'm thinking a last quarter pull away and 30 Points our way.

From Saturday's game onward, Hogan has the unique ability to morph himself into one of Melbourne's most dynamic players of this modern era. (God, i love that phrase when it pertains to our player).................but for Christ's sake don't tell him or the mediums.
-
If Lever had have been wearing an Adelaide Jumper, he would have got a free and 50 for high contact........
-
...and the umpires are trained to know that if the player takes his eye off the ball before contact, he is going to deliberately give away a free kick?????.........WTF!!!..........according to the commentators........hello, large deposit of smelly supposition, me thinks.
-
I reckon i know one particular thing that you won't see Hogan do................
-
Certainly raised my eyebrows Saturday, with more grunt evident, and generally, harder for longer, in the play more.....

It's all about perception and speculation La DvC. With Fritsch, in a tight game, one could think he could be spectacular, and a match winner. But look at the other two, Melksham and Hannan have actually done it when it's been tight. Nobody is protected. It's the thrill of our Team now........
-
From the way the media were bagging the umpires, they (MRP) would probably have to have rubbed them all out......
-
Played three good games.......

If Eddie got the death adder out of his pocket more often perhaps they wouldn't have ended up with fairly ordinary recruiting results in the last few years.Destination Club my ar66.....
-
Yep, makes you wonder they would ever go to Geelong.....when there is three other perfect fits closer to the "big hub"
-
Don't disagree, and think your right. Would like to just add Bayley Fritsch has a lot of similarities to Robbie qualities, ie the ball pick up, change of speed, contesting against much bigger opponents and the balance/marking. Could we have two down the track, to early i know.
-
Surely W Coast Ground Administration will not be allowed to put all those revolving lights on immediately after the finish of a tight game that is going to be decided by a "potentially blinded" kick after the siren. Bearing in mind it could happen to both sides........
-
Yep, i agree with this, there was something there wasn't there, The question might be if it's being noticed that we have improved each week? Not just with the win/loss situation but just perceptively overall. I sort of sat there after the game and thought "we almost clicked then", not continuously but noticeably.
