POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Im positive Two new competent forwards and we win that. And a ruck forward to replace JVR. Hes reminding me of Cordner who looked a million dollars, had a leap but could not hold a mark.

May is moving like sn old man. Not AFL fit

GAMEDAY: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Seems Trac has lost a bit of competitive instinct. Hes not trying to be the best player out there, a thing all great players have. Still can be a good player in a good team. Maybe thats all he wants

2025 MRO & Tribunal
Golden opportuity for gay community to put pressure on afl to show compassion and review their education of players. Does anyone really believe he said it in the literal sense.

Youth going forward
Interesting, thats 15 to add to established players. We need to nail this trade draft period to get that number to 20 and hope others like Brown, Woey and Culley make it.

Petty is definitely improving.
Yes , the set up that guarantees packs just in front of goal. Crazy. Yesterday at a VFL game the only iprovement i saw over the past decade is tall defenders ability to jump super high and punch the ball. Gotta get the talk forwards isolated. Its frustrating as an older fan being pretty sure a team structure wont work as soon as you see it

Talking forwards. I wonder how much better a few would play if left yo their natural game rather than the puzzling structured set ups. Dont get me started on how having a full forward one out would create goal scoring opportunities by having someone to kick it to.

Tracca often slow to get started.
Yes, agree with micro second hesitation. Hes still quick enough to mostly get it but then rushed . I doubt he ever feared physical contact due to his size in junior or senior footy before tge injury.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Agree. And out of interest, who would you say you want to talk to?

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Yes, look at the players weve lost since premiership, Jackson, Brayshaw, Ben Brown, ANB . Then we have the fading stars which feels so similiar to the late sixties . I feel for the young kids who see them as the premiership heroes they were. May Lever Salem Then we have Trac- playing for money, csnt blame him and hoping for success and fame at a bigger club Then we have Oliver- playing for money and fighting demons. I know all players play for money but you get the feeling they only stayed because it was easy getting the best deal from us in an easy negotiotion the managers could not sign quick enough.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Could be we are so old school that we think they put out a job ad.DOX.

CASEY: Rd 21 vs Box Hill Hawks
Saw a very likely type, young, athletic , super fit , tall, 6 feet 8 watching the Willy / Tigers today. Josh Giddey

CASEY: Rd 21 vs Box Hill Hawks
I was at Richmond and Williamstown today and was pretty shocked at the skill level and the coaches i listened to at 1/4 and 3/4 time. Lots of tall, gym built guys who looked like footy players until they ran, turned or tried to hit a target. Two good marks for the day and the biggest skill i saw was tall backman running to ball drop jumping bery high and punching the ball. So yes, its a big gap.

I doubt either will give us a top ten pick

What's Collingwood ever done for Melbourne?
I remember Wayne Gordon, came from Reservoir way. Was also a talented basketball player as a junior

Trade Targets
After watching yesterday two new players with pace has us back in the hunt, especially someone who can work with Max.

Tracca often slow to get started.
Buckley will make him and all our midfield better players. Heard him saying a top tier midfielder might have five moves to get out of a pack. A battler just one and a very good player somewhere in the middle. I found that fascinating as in my youth we were only taught the old fashioned sidestep or change straight ahead into the pack. Its about teaching skills from people with the skillset.

Tracca often slow to get started.
Hes getting there. Yes, please stay.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
It seems obvious to me more individual coaching is required. Find the repeat skill errors and work hard on those and less on areas they are competent in.

PREGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
I think Kolts going to be a good solid player but wouldnt reward him yet. Windsor out. We only need replace the sub.
