That's what I mean by "potentially more than just one suitor". Other teams will have more time to prepare, and the draft will presumably be better. So, all of the chips are falling the way of GC. -
GC are aware that we've been chasing Humphry since his draft year. They know our advances are unlikely to stop, so, they're banking on us offering our first rounder and a future first rounder next year. This nets them Petracca for picks in a perceived weaker draft, and the option to trade in a stronger draft market, with potentially more than just one suitor.

I can't believe people are asking him to reconsider and stay. It has gone too far, and the circus would only continue if he did stay, and to astronomical proportions. We're all sympathetic to the terrible injury and the severity of the aftermath, must have been terrible. He has been one of the greats of the club, which makes this even more difficult to watch play out....AND....we still have 7 weeks of this. It will soon get to a point where being dissatisfied with a trade is a better outcome than him staying around. For a 'brand' to be successful, ironically, it requires loyalty. Ciao Christian, this is fusilli.

The group really looks galvanized, don't they? There is a sense of 21' with their outward celebration of 1%ers and unselfishness. The injection of Windsor has been immense, what a wonderful start to his career. He's clearly been told to back himself and take the game on, but he also has the ability to 'check' his kicks and go to the right option, not blazing away. Very mature young fella with incredible potential. Players like Windsor and Howes would have struggled to perform so early in previous Demon teams, so, credit to the boys and the coaching staff / on-field leaders who have made their introduction into the AFL seamless.
All I want to know is, do the glasses fall within the MCC dress code. Asking for a friend. What a beast!
Irrespective of how the criticism has been directed, the underlying fact is, we've fluffed two major opportunities over the past 2 years. It feels terrible because it is terrible, and criticism will continue to come our way until we improve in this area. Must win high-pressure games of footy, not provide commentary on reasons why we lost, that just adds fuel to the fire. Zip the lips and get to work, show the footy world what we all know we're capable of.
