  1. What are everyone else's thoughts on the Bugler firing up the Grand Old Flag from the Second Level of the Northern stand with about 5 seconds to go? I personally loved it. Brought out a bit of arrogance although it could have been a little earlier haha
  2. the best thing about the watts-to-trengove goal was it was also $cully who kicked it out of the defense, to have Watts cut it off. After Davey's second goal, i think thats the first smile i've seen from him in a while. And Tommy Mac is a star! Love his growing confidence. A couple of times he looked keen for the shot from outside 50. He was shattered when he had that great opportunity only to mis-bounce the ball, but Silvia mopped up for the goal. You could see him kicking himself as he made his way back to defense
  3. I was thinking the same thing while reading the article this morning. It's the way to go if you want to develop young players for your particular game plan. All comes down to costs and resources.
  4. I'll be down playing soccer at Carey on Saturday. Might have to have head over and see how he goes.
  5. Had already done that... And i had worked out the first one but was lost on the second. Got it now but i don't think i had paid enough attention at the time to his name being B....
  6. greetings... excuse my ignorance but what does T$ and B$ mean?
  7. Would love to bust out the "One team in Melbourne" chant but it could only be after a few years of dominating... Being a Victory member, its a great feeling to have a packed stadium belting out the chants, but AFL just isn't made for it...
  8. I think Monday's game showed he can take a strong contested mark, while not launching for a hanger. My only worry is him and Clarke both going for every mark in the forward 50, as we all know Clarke is not going to pull out....
  9. you are contradicting yourself there, asking not to worry whether a player disposed of the ball AND saying whether the tackle is fair... If the ball is disposed of, then is brought down in a tackle, it is not fair.
  10. On first viewing i thought it was a spray, but on repeat viewing, i didn't think it was that bad. A spray is face to face yelling where the recipient cops a literal spray of foaming mouth.... A coach shouldn't be coaching if he can't tell his players off for not following (or executing) instructions. In this situation MN just happened to be on the bench, and the media loves to make a big deal of things so all cameras would have been ready. I'm sure there are many times where this sort of thing has happened between coaches and players on the bench and the cameras wouldn't have caught it. What about all those other times where MN has lost it in the coaches box. I'm sure if he was on the bench he would have done the same to whoever the offending player was. I'll admit i've been a Morton-knocker for a while now, but I agree he has shown signs of improving this year, and as i've said before, MN obviously sees something in him, to keep him in the side. Hopefully for the sake of the club, he keeps improving, and I look forward to cheering him on to the bench after he has put some solid effort and heart into the contest and earned his rest.
  11. How would you classify it? http://www.afl.com.au/tribunal%20system/tabid/13707/default.aspx
  12. I reckon Neeld has gone through him earlier in the year, as he started with a few poor games, but then started throwing himself at the ball a bit more which is good. Obviously Neeld sees something in him as ultimately it's his choice whether Cale is in the team or not.
