  1. I think you prefer a sham that everyone (even you 'stuie') knows was a sham than logic.
  2. He's not going anywhere, Jeff couldn't get rid of him when he was Prez he's got no power to do it now.
  3. Believe what you want Cam. I don't think even Gill and AD truly believed the garbage that came out of their mouths.
  4. Now you are just being stupid Cam.

    Weak.

No 'stuie' it's been since Baileys first game.
  6. Yes they have stability but it is because they have quality at the top, we don't have that. We will never have that stability until the deck chairs are cleared from the disaster that was our attempted rebuild, tanking and and the Geelong 2010 game.
  7. So the players were happy with Schwab, he is not devisive, our rebuild has been a raging success, he has been doing the rounds of the media and hasn't cost us 1/2 a mill. Thank god for that, I must have been dreaming it then. The last 5 years haven't happened, it was all in my mind. If you want more of the same stick with the same guys and the top and you will get it.
  8. Remember this was early last year in his media role when Neeld was under attack early in the season, he said something along the lines of there being people at the club with other agendas rather than football and until this was sorted the MFC were going nowhere.
  9. Now that I would love to have seen, would have been the best entertainment of the day.
  10. The players were not happy with Schwab and went to Don about their griefs, in the end they got shafted. How do you think they feel in the rooms when Schwab is standing there before a game or at half time, do you reckon it inspires them to perform. Even with the best of intentions it will be in the back of their mind. ...and as for the new players, I'm sure they've been given the story. There was a rumour on here a month or so back that Schwab was gone, it apparently came from a players father, one of the new players. It was not true but it is a concern if that talk is going around the club On another point, how many club CEO's do you think attract the same negative response as ours does? Why do you think he does? Is he just unlucky? Being picked on for no apparent reason? did he just cost us 1/2 a mill? He is a protected species at the MFC and no longer seems to be able to talk for the club. Yes Brian you can run the business of the club but you are not allowed to give any interviews or speak on behalf of the Geelong FC unless it is a closed meeting where we can shield you from the hard questions...yeah right. Neeld will not have a clear reign to coach this club until he is gone, he is coaching with one hand tied behind his back and maybe he doesn't even know. Judging by some Malthouse comments about the club last year my guess is he does know though, and is doing his best.
  11. Absolute rubbish mate, absolute rubbish. As I said the only thing stable about this admin is having the same CEO and that's not a good enough recommendation for me. At the end of the day look at the results, if you want to keep getting these results stick with the same bloke. Keep fiddling while Rome burns.
  12. 'stuie', I believe if we change the CEO we will see a big turnaround on field. I know you don't see it but I have believed this for a while now, we have a culture problem and this comes from the top. 3 coaches same result. Say what you want and all you Schwab supporters but this club is going nowhere until he is gone.
  13. Ultimately the CEO is responsible for the performance of the club, use all the names you want 'stuie' but this time Schwab must go. The last year and a half have been wasted by the board not having the balls to make the move after the Geelong game. Gone....and this week.
  14. Who was in charge 'stuie', think we just let things go along as they have been. Shwab has had a good go at it and failed, move him on.
  15. Schwab goes first then look at the board, do they have the guys to do the right thing finally.
  16. The only thing stable has been the same CEO overseeing a traumatic couple of years at a minimum in part his own doing. Hardly a stable time for the club and hardly what I would call stable administration. Tanking Energywatch 3 coaches Continuing bad press Poor on field performance to name a few
  17. If you believe that you believe in the tooth fairy.
  18. Haven't seen Don at training whenever I've been there but the weak gutted effort was from him and the board not sacking the CEO when the decision was made. I will be happy to tell him if I see him and will be sending a letter to spell it out.
  19. An ill conceived contact and one I absolutely opposed at the time. Pay him out and lets get on with it, get the right person at the top and take the millstone from Neeld's neck then lets see if he can coach. The board can wait.
  20. No... but I am putting the blame squarely on the board for not sacking the CEO after the Geelong game and for the subsequent poor performances.
  21. Agree 'Muvver', in fact you beat me to the post. This club is going nowhere and in fact I don't think we can judge Neeld until the millstone is taken from around his neck. Cameron Schwab must go, I know all the apologists will say he doesn't get a kick, he's turning a profit blah, blah blah. We who want to see him gone will be accused of having a political agenda etc. Well I don't know any current or past board members, wouldn't know 'em if I fell over 'em, but know a disaster when I see it. The Geelong game was a disgrace and things have only gone downhill from there. As for the common wisdom at the time of not causing instability at the club. It's all we've had since. I don't know what it is but he is a divisive figure and we can't afford to sit on our hands and let this ruin the club. He may well be a victim but we can't afford to take the high ground on this, he brings way to much heat on the club and the ultimate performance indicator, games won is well in the negative. Mike Sheahan was spot on last year but most chose not to listen, we need to go to the AFL and find the best young administrator in the game. I would like to get Cook but maybe he is past looking to a new challenge and happy to sit at Geelong. I won't judge Neeld until the fishes head is gone.
  22. I was trying to not see it coming too but I'm not paid to see it coming. The performances against StKilda, GC and the Casey Demons performances pointed to exactly what was coming.
  23. One of the big problems 'Jack' is that the last few Casey performances have pointed to what we got yesterday. A team full of AFL players but poor performances.
  24. ...and it has to be a consideration. I know the board want to put it behind them but the results don't stack up, I've had enough of this as I'm sure everyone has. The people behind the rebuild need to go, the Bailey era was a fail and they are not stacking up to well with this one. The fish rots from the head.
