  1. Tyson is probably leading our B&F at the moment and you haven't seen Salem who is rated up there with Kelly but next draft I would keep some high picks. We are going to need the KPP's.
  2. You're right there, the clubs that will be interested are those desperate for a KPP. I guess that brings Adelaide into the mix and a couple of others. Of course if Frawley goes then we would be deperate for KPP's.
  3. I think you are right.
  4. McCartin has a bit of mongrel about him same as Hogan, I like that.
  5. It was Paton a few years back, then Boyd now Wright but we do need a couple of KPP. If things keep on as they are we will have a few early picks, we can use one in a trade for something really good and keep a couple.
  6. I think Ellis is good, it's just other clubs are now not giving him a free hit at it and tagging him. We will see how he works through it this year but using him to tag Gibbs the other night was a real plus and a good win for Ellis.
  7. A bit bigger build already though, will be interested to see how he goes this year.
  8. Yeah, I know. I was looking forward to the footy for once this season and now it looks like I'm going to be hanging out for the under 18's carnival then the draft/trade week again.
  9. Goddard and McCartin for me and trade another pick. Pick up one of the rucks in WA from Freo or WC.
  10. Freeman's not playing, Sheed was dropped, Dunstan's going ok and Salem will be better than all of them. He has grunt.
  11. I think Dom is the find and will be an A grader, the steal of the draft is likely to be Hunt. A pick from out of nowhere but a lot to offer, will see in a few years.
  12. Just repeating my post from a few days ago. With the news on Mitch we will need to target one of the key position players in this years draft. McCartin or maybe Goddard for me.
  13. They will be very appealing to us, if we're in that position this year we take them. If we lose Frawley and I'm not convinced we will it will mean apart from Hogan we have no top class KPP's
  14. Lets not go through this again...
  15. Jaksch is not up to it from what I've seen, might eventually settle as a defender but not convinced. If Clark is up and running he will be the 3rd tall forward/ruck option or first ruck option. Dawes is looking more like the Shane Watson option to me.
  16. If we do, we need to keep them for ourselves. We're not strong in the forward department at the moment. I like the look of McCartin, with Hogan it would be like having Carey and Plugger in the same forward line. A lot of defenders wouldn't be comfortable with these 2 running around.
  17. We won't agree on this one 'Machsy', but I think he was an excellent kick, just didn't get enough of it. In one of the coaches reports last year it was said on a particularly windy day Taggert was the only one who handled the conditions by foot. He's gone and I hope for him it was the kick up ... that he needed. Good luck to the kid.
  18. I've not doubt they played the biggest part but even the AFL were surprised at the emails, letters and calls received from members...as I said in some small part. Members vote with their feet 'Sat', they renew or don't, go to games or don't, support or don't. Very few go to AGM's and as you note most don't like to talk but they all have an opinion.
  19. You are 100% correct but we have no influence over how the game is played, selection etc. yet all have an opinion which is why we use the forum. We also are a club and these lessons need to be understood by members if and when board elections come up, that's where we may have some influence. Pressure from members to the AFL helped in some small way to get them on board and bring Jackson in. We have continually made the same mistakes and it is a good thing if the members of the club understand or at least discuss them so we as members can at least vote with our feet. Nothing wrong with that. ...and as 'old dee' points out above, winning is what will heal the wounds or at least paint over them for a time.
  20. He was an excellent kick, good decision maker and pretty good overhead. Biggest problem was his focus, he would drift in and out of the game too much. Injury in his first season didn't help things plus coming into the club during the last few years was not a bonus either. Playing in SA this year and I hope he works hard enough to get another crack at it down the track.
  21. I know what he means but 193cm is hardly tall these days and you would expect him to be a good kick. This should not be the exception.
  22. Very odd comment, at 193cm he is almost at midfield height these days and he better be an excellent kick if he wants a long term future in the game.
  23. Blind loyalty...probably about the same thing.
  24. No...you don't drink I thought. Must be something else.
  25. Neil Craig?
