Delistings/trades at end of the season
I'm not a fan. He is lazy, has no idea how to play a ball in the air and his disposal is hit or miss. No thanks... Make a big offer for Motlop...or look for leg speed elsewhere.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Petracca was a forward mainly until his last u18 year where he thought he could improve his prospects in the draft by moving into the midfield and that he did. Petracca is a natural goal kicker and will end up kicking a lot more than Howe over his career if and when he gets a start. "After being an elite underage basketballer – Petracca was a member of the AIS basketball squad at under-18 level alongside recent NBA draftee Dante Exum – he quit that sport and turned solely to footy at the start of 2013. It's turned out to be a win for the AFL. Petracca played last year for the Eastern Ranges and kicked 41 goals off a half-forward flank, but showed a lot of promise. Going Places: the full tale of Christian Petracca He turned his attention to becoming a midfielder, improved his fitness and went for broke. It was obvious pretty quickly he was a natural fit in that role, starring through the TAC Cup season and the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships."

'old dee', he's only just coming up to his 50th game in a couple of weeks. I think we can mark him better on his next 30 games, he has been inconsistent this year but I think we will get a lot better from him going forward.

11 Brownlow votes and a few BOG's, he's had a down season but still yet to play 50 games. They've had a few steals 'Chaser', Grundy was another at pick 18.

Had an average season this year but excellent last year...how is Kelly going by the way?

Delistings/trades at end of the season
There worst mistake is hard to quantify. I think there were a few major mistakes made at board level before Neeld was appointed that I will never forgive them for and it's why we are where we are now. In no order they were, the hiring of CS, the sacking of Bailey and the way it was handled, allowing Stynes to stay on as President when ill and clearly unable to do the job required, leading to Lyon coming in as some kind of consultant to help his mate Jim out when he had no qualification to do so. The board should have put the interests of the members first, it didn't and it was an absolute disgrace.

We certainly needed good senior players in the club, agree with you totally on that. Probably not many options open to us but couldn't put him in the plus category.

Agree with a lot of what you say but this was a big mistake. The Pies laughed all the way to the bank on this trade... Cross and Vince are the ones that have had a big impact...

Unfortunately we were so poorly managed we now have to look at our rebuild as being over the last couple of years. I'm not forgiving this, in fact I am absolutely p....that we wasted so much time with a board and management that were so inept that we are still in this position. I am prepared to give the current management of the club some slack because of what they inherited.

I don't think they're that stupid...and he's just not a key forward anyway. ...then again we could always hope.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
That's what it was when we gave away a top 20 pick for him...now he has absolutely no currency on the trade market at all. Play him at Casey next season as a backup until his contract runs out then delist, if he doesn't like this negotiate a pay out figure with him.

Why? He's a good player no doubt but I don't like the idea of throwing a lot of cash at one player. Seems that Sydney may be paying the price for that now...

Delistings/trades at end of the season
This NikNat elite conversation started with a post that he was a show pony. Elite or not, and I don't see him as a elite, he is a good and important player for WC and I wouldn't think considered just a show pony.

I just think it's a bit early to go on big Max and use stats for an argument. He's a very different player to NikNat and not just in looks. I'm happy to see Max take up the 1st ruck position and have been calling for him to play there even back at Casey. We were trying to make him into something he wasn't, a forward/ruck. Now he's been given the number 1 role he's really started to develop. We also need to take into account in his current run in the AFL, 2 of those games were against undermanned ruck divisions. The game against the Lions was a good test against 2 good rucks, he had a good one. Let Max be Max, he's developing well now.

Looks like Watts has now morphed into Gawn for the purpose of recent posts... Happy to see both NikNat and Watts playing good footy for their clubs. Let Max be Max...

No...He's been lucky to get on the park. Spent a lot of his career injured. Whilst I think Watts is playing good footy now I don't think you can just write of NicNat as a show pony. He's a critical part of WC improvement this year.

Not sure we would want him but also not so sure he won't leave the Tiges.

We might as well bring back the Ox then, solid mature body. Only difference is I think he could still hold a grab. It's not a good enough reason to keep Dawes. Frost or Tommy Mc are better options and maybe a trade for someone like Tomlinson.

I don't think this is right. He went to Goddard for the 2nd Q and stopped him, unfortunately he was then moved off Goddard and he got away again.

Not sure if you're referring to the Dawes comments here 'rpfc', but as a forward yourself you must be disappointed in his output and how a first year forward is copping the attention of the opposition defenders that Dawes should be at least minimising. At the moment I don't think op coaches put much work into Dawes and focus on Hogan. The only focus they put on him is how they can use him to run off.

I think it's always been on the table 'Dockett' but only once was the offer good enough. Can't wait to see Salem back either...by the way.

You're right 'Adam', he really did need stick the tackles... Dawes, well I'm not s fan and can see why Bucks was keen to move him on. Unfortunately we were too willing a buyer.
