I’m in the low impact school of thought, but would love the club to challenge this regardless of opinions. I would like the club to challenge the AFL. We tend to bend over too much

The kid has massive upside and his current play is special. I trust the club will nurture him in the right direction and position. Just sign him up long term. As a rookie listed player, is he a free agent at the end of a contract?

Umpires - Dogs (off leash)

Take your dog to the park Deever. Let him off the leash, and watch him go around in circles and not ONE umpire will blow the whistle. Then you will be very angry.

I took my dog down the park just now and let him off the lead to test out this theory. My dog was all over the place, pushing other dogs in the back, blocking other dogs, nipping at their heals, overall having a ball and chasing other dogs balls too. Not one umpire called him out for his unduly rough play, head high contacts, pushing in the back, tripping offensives etc. I had a word with my pooch for playing the boundary line and not walking in one line. Im not sure who I’m more frustrated with. The umpires for not listening, or the dog for not walking in a straight line toward the goal, as he was coached! I have more respect for Goody now

AFL is the most interpreted sports game in the world when it comes to umpiring. If rules where adjudicated to the letter of the law, all high contacts, all pushes into the back, all kicks in danger, etc etc would be paid. There lies the grey area stats do not reflect.

When Windsor does something, he has impact. His touch forcing the ball over the boundary line in the back pocket stopping a crom player running into an open was smart and impactful. his one arm handed grab of the ball at full pace on the wing moving forward was another special moment. the kid has the goods and oozes class. Imagine when he learns to get the ball more often….

I love Riv, but I think his short disposal game can be questionable at times

The club has had options since the Gutnik era. What is now called the AIA centre being the obvious one.

The point in hems comments were all about Chin making the most of his time on a AFL list and reaping the benefits this and last year. Chin is committed to the club and could be playing against us tonight. Something LJ was not able to provide with moving to Fweeo Colin Silvia was another who played in the same/similar role. I have a lot of respect for our man Chandler!!

Jeffo has coped a lot on this site for not living up to JVR standards in their first year. They are different types of players and we all need to allow this young, thin man mature into his body playing against men. The kid has talent it’s a matter of this translating into VFL/AFL level. Jeffo was never going to be a quick fix to our fwd line woes and the injuries to BBB and TMac. It does my head how many in this board turn against players on the list for not living up to their expectations and on their own timeline.

Give the kid a break! He has been ok. The team has been smashed and he has had some good moments. I see some promise for a kid playing his first game in the biggest league he has played.
