I’m starting to think we will swap picks with the Dawks. They need as many high picks as they can get in their rebuild and Curtain would be a target given their need for talls more than a small forward. Why draft Ginnavan and grab Watson? Pick 6 and 11 for pick 4. or Pick 6 and a future 1st for pick 4 This may tempt WC thinking they can grab Reid and Curtain trading with GWS. It will be an interesting night and Twomey has put in variables in his write up. Maybe he ain’t so confident with his past Phantoms with this year…

If there is a trade for a higher pick we know JT has targeted this player for some time. He is the master of getting his man, or attempting to get his man. Bailey Humphrey was our target last draft and this kid will be a gun.

In recent history the club doesn’t show their hand up until the very last minute. The players being mentioned thru the media are probably smoke screens. Duursma has been mentioned due to his connection at Casey/MFC. As a result I’m suspicious why McKercher has not been mentioned with the possibility of trading for pick 2 or 3.

North already have a very good draft hand that will net them 5 top 20 picks (excluding NGA’s) in two weeks. They have 3 top 25 draft picks from last year. They have been loading up for a period now. It’s WCE that need to continue this strategy from last years draft.

I’d we did this, we would end up with Curtain and lose a player, giving away pick 11.
