CASEY: Rd 06 vs Williamstown
Or, just the kid some praise for what was an impactful performance today. Well done Jeffo! Jeffo is not comparable to JVR! Different type of players. JVR was playing AFL in his second yearand is now copping flack from some on here for being a poor mark of the ball. Credit where itโs due.

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
How big a role is McQualter having in these strategic nuances this season? It seems the club has moved from a โwe play our game and put it up against the oppositionโ, to we play to our strength and be more dimensional in how we take away the oppositions strengths strategy. btw, I am loving all the expert commentary from binman and others in the this thread.

I think he made you and others look a tad silly last night. No need to wait for next week for that to happen. ๐

Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
I would like to thank the Fremantle Dockers football club. I really enjoyed the (death) ride in 2023 and Itโs a ride that keeps on giving and keeps on going watching Windsor each week.

Gendered domestic violence issues.
I agree in part Demons1858. The LGBT community experience FV at a higher percentage than the straight community. Itโs men on men and women on women, and I include the Trans community as higher rates of FV.. Elder abuse is another area in which children (as adults) inflict abuse on their elderly parents. But, women are dying at an alarming rate. The focus on gender is an open door to discuss other less known areas but keep the focus on what should never be accepted. People dying at the hands of their family members. Just on this, I work with an organisation who has a large FV program across the eastern states. Men Behavioural Change programs are proven to be unsuccessful. Less than 20% of perpetrators change their behaviour. Alarming!

Isnโt every Monday a holiday in Vegas? For the construction industry it isโฆ, and if it rains on Sunday they get paid double time for a day they donโt work and if itโs over 22 degrees they all go home ๐ณ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ Good luck the Olympic 2032..

I think most DโLanders are very interested in Jefferson despite their views. We all hope he develops into an AFL player. Iโm not riding him off yet.

PODCAST: Kade Chandler Interview
Can you ask Chin about the lure to Adelaide and what kept him at the club. What is it about the Dees he loves? On that note, thank him for staying, he is one of my favourite players to watch on ground. He is like a terrier/pest without the ball in hand to the opposition on ground. Can you ask him to get in Pettyโs ear ๐ฌ๐ณ๐,

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Geelong
Your original point was the lack of moves made by Goody, and you have continued to pull the narrative his moves are made out of desperation. Many have given you examples of moves made by the coaching staff, Binman has pointed out the changes to the game plan/style. I say he is trying to implement a winning game plan for another premiership. Clubs worked us out after 2021 as all clubs do when you win a premiership. His record speaks for itself. Scott took over a decade to change his game plan and he and the Cats reaped the rewards in 2022. One could say it was out of desperation as his stars were at the end of their careers and he had no other choice. They havenโt beaten anyone of note in 2024, and 2023 was a disaster. Iโm not sure Scott is the template to use here. He doesnโt have a Trac, Oliver and Viney to utilise. One could argue he is desperate as he hasnโt the midfield cattle and shuffles them as he knows how average their midfield is. Why would any coach throw Clarry, Viney and Trac anywhere else but where they play now? Would you throw Trac down back? Can the players you pointed out play in those positions?Yes, But why would you coach in a way that weakens the team? Goody rotates his flanker and midfielders throughout the game. He rotates his KPP players as well. But when you have stars like May, Lever, Clarry, Gawn Trac and Viney, they get the majority of time in their best positions Point being, Goody makes his moves with the cattle he has at his disposal. I like the moves and see he is trying new things and new ways. Not out of desperation potato, patarto.

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Geelong
You call it desperation DS, I call it experimentation. Gus was an inside midfielder and Goody turned him into a wing, HBF er, then back into the midfield. JJ too as a wing/midfielder. TMac was seen as gawn around here and Goody put him down back once more. Petty is the same in reverse. Windsor was not on our list until Nov last year. JVR as relief rucking. Howes was a winger turner backman. I could go on with a few moreโฆ No longer do you have players who play one role, they all play defence, attack and contested footy.

CASEY: Rd 03 vs Port Melbourne
As an All Australian under 18 in his draft year, you can understand why the club drafted him at pick 15. As an All Aust under age pick, the kid has talent. History will tell you KP youngsters take time to develop their body. Jeffo was drafted 18 months ago. 20 year old kids rarely play senior AFL footy at his age. He has shown very good cameo performances at Casey. His goal tally for his first year as a KPF was very good. He is young and playing agianst more physically developed men. Consistency at this point at time is an unrealistic expectation. As an under age player his kicking accuracy was one of his biggest strengths, along with his marking. But, his 6 mark, 2 goal 4 performance 2 weeks ago, is now seen as he is a poor kick for goal. Too many focus on the negatives and form opinions too quick. Many have also attacked him for being too skinny with a (perceived) hunch back. It takes all body types, just saying. Itโs posts and the anxiety such as yours Cranky that rile me with focussing on the negative. I would suggest the people on here backing Jeffo, including me, have the same anxiety as you. I just choose to sit back and wait to see how it unfolds and not behave in a way that is negative.

Bailey Smith
Me thinks Bailey is laughing all the way to the bank. Not my thing, but I have to commend him for creating a career outside of football well before his AFL career ends. Possibly the modern day sport menโs night is occurring. Is it as bad as old man retired footballers trying to act as comedians?

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
I like most of all of the above DD. Keep Petty in the side and he can play himself into form and fitness. He has not been a liability up fwd and has big up side. The midfield were smashed against the Lions and Andrews was given an easy ride down back. Disco had a good half with Casey, but is he ready for AFL? Fullarton for BBB would be my preference. Gives JVR a full time fwd role, and Fullarton provides the agility BBB does not have.
