I'm no fan of either the C. Church or Pell but the media and the prosecution clearly F.ed up the case. He was notoriously good at shifting priests like Risdale and Best around but his personal abuse was not proven , or proven properly and at the time the case looked flimsy and media driven. In my opinion his shifting of culprits and peretrators around the state was more damaging to more people than that which he was accused of in Melbourne . It was a poorly run and executed case against Pell which begs the bigger question of why such a case was allowed to be run when there was a much larger case to answer with the evidence of an entire Royal Commission behind it. The Crimes of some Judges and many of the Police force in Victoria were also allowed to escape punishment for decades of cover ups and inaction as well as participation in the abuse.There is plenty of evidence supporting this. The entire legal system ,State and Federal Politicians and other promininent members of society were involved in the deliberate cover up and participation of the abuse for decades . Pell went away for the wrong thing to save a lot of faces,reputations,systems. It was a bad legal case,run with the intention of it failing.It was in fact ,a diversion.

The Shepherd for Hunt ,whilst good and very effective is just sometthing that should be happening evrywhere,every game,by every player. It's not soimething we should be celebrating but something we should just expect to happen. Takes very little skill and does a lot to win games.

My players are based on 1985 onwards. Prior to that I was a kid in Sydney watching the Roosters . There are several current players who could make this list one day. 1. Schwartz -All round ability-An absolute freak -any position. 2.Nietz- Most reliable,consistent performer ,best shot on goal.Mark it down anywhere within 60M. 3.Flower-Elegant ,fast, super-skilled but fragile. 4.Lyon -The total package-is as good an all round player as there has been. 5.Farmer- Freak speed,mark,kick and for his size was actually one of the most feared men to wear the jumper.( had a temper).

Up until Peter Bell he was the greatest Asian footballer of all time. (Sam Pang rated himself top 5 ) I loved the Mullet era. Ricky Jackson,Stinga, Grinter ,Sugar,Lyon,Stynes,Newport,Strawbs,TC ,Stretchmarks,Lovett etc . What a great team.

Councils like this should stick to doing what they do best.... Speaking out on national issues they have no control of. Destroying public assets for the benefit of no one in particular. Promoting ethnic minorities who have not neccessarily asked for assistance to display their wokeness. Handicapping young men and discouraging them from participating in leadership positions. Throwing rate payers money at the promotion of homosexuality Putting down dogs Interfering in the running of successful businesses/venues Self -promoting and slush fund splurging Advertising for re-election with rate payers money. Nobody wants a council to maintain parks,streets and public spaces,clean rubbish and provide efficient ,quiet service to the community.If an inner city council is not politicicising and grandstanding then they really should think about why they got into the job in the first place.

The AFLs need to attach every game to a cause or an issue is really irritating. I dont like being told how to think ,or what to think about societal issues or personal values on matters the AFL thinks it can inform or "highlight". Many of us go to the football,or turn on the game just to relax. I suppose people will will point to "The Big Freeze" as a good way to raise funds for a worthy cause but it now seems to be every single game.

So the point easily missed is women were never ever going to be excluded from the event as the club allows female guests but denies female memberships much as some clubs deny male membership. Another non-issue made into an issue thewn re-issued.
