2021 Injury List
Wouldn't have thought we'd lose too much pace with Bowey. Kid is quick.

HATCH MATCH & DESPATCH 2021
Will be his penultimate game for the Crows but I believe he is still weighing up his options for 2022.

Trade Targets
Josh Kelly has officially re-signed with the Giants for the next 8 years which has been estimated to be over 1mil per year on average. Would've been the ideal hard running inside/outside midfielder but we were never in the conversation for him at that price tag. Perhaps that will tighten the Giants salary cap somewhat and leave some young guns ripe for a trade.

Finals team
FB. Bowey May Petty HB. Rivers Lever Salem C. Langdon Oliver Brayshaw HF. Spargo T-Mac ANB F. Fritsch B. Brown Pickett R. Gawn Petracca Harmes I/C Viney Jackson Jordon Hibberd Sub. Sparrow Emerg. Melksham Weideman Jones Chandler The next group. AvB Lockhart Smith Jetta Baker Bedford Injured Hunt? Thought about putting Sparrow into the starting 22 but feel it makes us a bit young with Bowey, Rivers, Jackson, Jordon and Pickett all young and relatively inexperienced. That's nearly a quarter of the squad already. Hibberd is clearly on his final legs but have him as a better contributor to Sparrow at this point and gives us another option off the half back, particularly with Hunt injured (?severity). Barring injury to a key forward, it's too late for another Weideman experiment and he will have to sit on the sidelines. Wouldn't mind seeing Jones in a sub role as well, would be a great sight to have him out on the ground during the finals. Not sure he can run out a full game though. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anyone.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAKE BOWEY
Think he'll be a fan favourite for years to come. Someone with pace that can hit targets consistently is a rare commodity. Will find a home on the half back line but could settle into a wing role quite easily down the track.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Painful last 15 minutes but got the points. Top 4 locked away!!

TEAMS: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Win and we go to the top of the ladder and guarantee a top 4 finish. Just get it done Dees.

TEAMS: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Melksham hasn't played for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a finals audition of sorts. He's on the fringe of best 22 and the likes of Sparrow, Jordan, Hibberd, vdb etc would want to take their chances when they come or risk missing out on finals action.

Trade Targets
You're right. His 20metre sprint time is 3.19sec so not quick at all. No idea why that got written on his bio. His agility/lateral movement + disposal and decision making are his strengths allegedly.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
He's in our academy I believe

Trade Targets
Would be keen but not sure we have the currency to get him. Although his value would certainly have dropped after two years in the system and regularly being overlooked. From memory @Yokozuna had mail that we were keen on him during his draft year. Haven't seen much of him since drafted but in his draft year he was reported to be a balanced midfielder with pace.

Mr Squiggle has us winning the flag? I have the patience of Blackboard.

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs West Coast
We could have up to three forced changes it sounds like. Out: ? Viney (susp), ? Salem (inj), ? McDonald (inj) Jordon, Hibberd and Weideman the three most likely as like-for-like replacements I would suspect.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Can Gold Coast still pre-list their academy players with their draft concessions?

Jack Viney Suspended for 2 Weeks
Not a great look on the first couple of playthroughs but I actually think Viney has a few arguments up his sleeve here. 1. After completing a solid tackle on Collins, you can see Viney has eyes for the next contest and is in the process of standing up and moving away. Collins then double grabs Viney and pulls him down on top of him. 2. Viney seems to be held into position by Collins with him still double grabbing Vineys jumper. 3. Viney again attempts to leave the encounter as shown by his legs attempting to stand up, Collins still maintains the rage with his double grabbing of the jumper and rolls Viney over and tries to push him into the ground. Not a great look on the whole and Viney should have tried to move his elbow off his head as soon as possible. Will get penalised for the length of time on his head more so than anything else. Still reckon Collins had a big part in instigating the whole incident though.

TEAMS: Rd 20 vs Gold Coast
Hoping there will be a debut announcement video up soon. They're always heart-warming.

Trade Targets
On half forward flankers we were linked to Sam Sturt from freo in his draft year. Has been quite injury prone so far and not entirely sure on his skillset due to limited exposure to him at AFL level. Maybe a WA demonlander can shed light on if he would be a suitable option.

How do Bulldogs do it?
How's this for an outlier. And look at the discrepancy between them and the next "best ranked" team.

How do Bulldogs do it?
Have the doggies ever lost a free kick count this year? How far in the positive are they now?

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I'm not sure what the answer is to our form issues but I think we may be suffering from some selection hubris with the lack of team changes over recent weeks. Consistency and cohesion is great, but when players are in poor form for multiple weeks and nothing changes we start having a problem. Complaceny may creep in if players no longer believes their spot is in jeopardy and it must be disheartening for reserve players trying to work their way into the team and not be rewarded.
