Finn Emile-Brennan
Nah it was me that explained myself poorly. Early days for Finn but good start to the season. One to keep track of during the season.

Finn Emile-Brennan
Yeah you're probably right re scaling. I was more proposing removing discounts and more or less have the cost in line with the draft points system they have in place.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Just made a thread about Finn before reading this. He's in this years draft and looks to have good skills and run from the backline based on what I've seen so far.

Finn Emile-Brennan
Agreed. Should have only been restricted to first round then perhaps heavier cost to match early in the second (more so than it is currently) with it scaling down as the draft progresses. Meanwhile the Northern academies are untouched under the current system. Go figure.

Seems we have another talented NGA player coming through with the Dandenong Stingrays this season. Named 2nd best on ground against the Ranges last Saturday with 30 touches and described by Cal Twomey as a talented and skilfull prospect in the below article. https://www.afl.com.au/news/735813/why-essendon-could-miss-out-on-exciting-next-gen-talent-anthony-munkara We would have to hope a bid falls outside of pick 40 otherwise he will go the way of Mac Andrew and straight to the club that selects him. Haven't been able to find out too much more on him except that he's 181cm tall. Looks like he predominantly plays as a defender.

Tassie deserve better.

JAKE BOWEY APPRECIATION THREAD.
Would be a tough ask for a 9yr old. (Sorry I couldn't resist)

NON-MFC: Round 3, 2022
Holy crap gold coast get a better clash jumper. Should re-design their home jumper too while they're at it.

CASEY: Rd 02 vs Essendon
Some cheap shots by a couple Bombers this arvo.

CASEY: Rd 02 vs Essendon
Bedford looks a class above at this level as well. Always clean and does everything at pace.

CASEY: Rd 02 vs Essendon
Good to see Rosman getting involved early. Has lots of tools to work with.

Tassie…. Devils?
I think you're right and of course the branding would revolve around the animal and be distinctly different. Devils and Tigers makes most sense and it won't be Tigers. Wouldn't surprise to see a Cartoon Tasmanian Devil stylised with little devil horns though. Perhaps they can get the license from looney tunes.

Tassie…. Devils?
Apple Isle Mariners. Has a nice ring to it . Or the Tasmania(n) Spirit. 🤮

Tassie…. Devils?
Fantastic news, but for selfish reasons I hope they won't be nicknamed the Devils.

GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Should be fresh though since he barely got near it. Jokes aside I hope he does well and brings his career back from the brink. With Brown and McDonald near the end of their careers Weideman will be in the perfect age demographic to spearhead the forward line with Van Rooyen developing. Wishful thinking maybe but while he pulls a Melbourne jumper on I will support and hope.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
A 2023 potential father/son for us in Kynan Brown (son of Nathan) is named as an emergency for Oakleigh Chargers this week. He'll hopefully get some games this year as a bottom ager and would be doing well to do so considering the quality of that team.

Farewell Luke Jackson
It's a fantastic point and l think the club would have no regrets in the last 10 years or so. Not surprisingly though considering where we were at and the overall quality of our list in that time. Personally I haven't been worried about any of our departures save for Hogan but we all know how that's turned out. On a random note I was sad when Walsh was traded to port, thought he was a quality back flanker for us. Not sure how much footy he played after that though.

Farewell Luke Jackson
This thread has the potential to eclipse the 100+ page Hogan one from 2018.

CASEY: Rd 01 vs Sandringham
Positives in my view so far. Howes looks impressive, has pace and makes solid decisions it seems. Impressed with smith's defensive marking, taj has been solid and looks like he has an afl body already. Dunstan next in line for a mid position and may keep Sparrow and Jordan on their toes a bit. Brown dominating up forward and Van Rooyen playing well for his first official hit out. Bedford probably close to best on still, has real intensity around the ball and has been pretty clean. Melksham didn't get a lot of the footy but his iq showed through and when he had the ball he was dangerous with it. Good to see Laurie get his hands on it a bit and spend some time in the centre. Have high hopes for this kid and reckon he has the goods. Daw serviceable but is definitely a "break in case of emergency" player. AMW doesn't seemed overawed at all and looked like he belonged at the level. Negatives Rosman probably had one or two touches for the half, seems to get lost or ignored on the footy field often. Was in a good spot a couple times for a switch but wasn't used. Has plenty of tools to work with but has a long way to go. With his height and speed/endurance mix I wonder if he should be used as a high half forward link up player ala tom lynch of the St kilda Adelaide variety. Weideman is low on confidence and should be really owning games like these were we are dominating the scoreboard and forward 50 entries. The dropped chest mark in the goal square (Sun may have been in issue) is painful, he often has these nearly moments but can't capitalise. Not sure the ruck experiment is ideal for him, would rather see him in the 50 all day and have brown ruck for the sake of his development and confidence. More leads, more marks and more shots on goals. My thoughts anyway.

CHANGES: PF vs Brisbane
Just watched the last 2minutes of the 3rd quarter after switching from casey. A bit firey with a number of pies players crudely giving it to Davidson from the lions, shoves while she was on the ground and standing over her etc... Must have missed something earlier but pies rattled and undisciplined. Lions will be a tough opponent next week.

2022 Injury List
Doesn't sound promising. Hopefully not much in the rumours and he is back sooner rather than later.

NON-MFC: Round 2, 2022
Wouldn't bank the Suns win just yet.

NON-MFC: Round 2, 2022
Maybe my bias coming in here but think Jonesy is acquitting himself quite well on TV.
