Farewell Judd McVee
Where's 37 coming from? Spargo compo. I know the points calculator isn't a great way of working out deals but our outs and ins would equate McVee to be worth pick 36. Think we can do better.

Farewell Judd McVee
Doesn't surprise me. What did surprise me is that we continued to select him. Did the kid and the team no favours. I'm looking forward to seeing him in 2026. With the right attitude I reckon he'll lock himself into the 22 on merit and become a weapon across the half-forward line with midfield bursts. From the outside looking in, I sense he has the ability to become a brayshaw-like figure for team culture and camaraderie.

2025 Player Reviews: #21 Matthew Jefferson
Looks to be a natural forward with nice leading patterns. I'm curious to see how he goes in a team with quicker ball movement. Dropped marks and missed kicks I'm putting down as a confidence/nerves issue for a player adjusting to AFL level. Entering year 4 so time is still on his side, needs to show more though.

Judd was eager to promote himself to the #4 jumper. Can we still blame Jack Watts for this?

Trade Targets
CJ from hawthorn was touted as potential player up for trade. Contracted though.

Well Judd leaving has indirectly lead me to discovering a new band, cheers Gorgoroth. FYI Be'lakor also playing at the croxton next week.

Thanks, forgot about the shoulder injury. Doesn't necessarily have to be a separate trade but both Simpson and Freo have to green light it which makes it very unlikely.

If I'm not mistake you've been saying Judd was leaving for a while. Any chance you can rename yourself to optimistic dee and start telling us who's coming to the club? If you could start with Butters that would be great. Many thanks.

I quite liked the look of Simpson in the small bits I've seen of him. Only played the 3 games this year though so obviously has some limitations or flaws to his game. Perhaps @Pennant St Dee might have a better idea on if he's an ideal target and how he's looked at wafl level?

It's been >2hrs since the news broke... Where is @WERRIDEE with a best 23 sans Judd?

Farewell Judd McVee
11 and 47 for Judd and 23? Most clubs seem content on trading out of the first round this year. Getting a best 23 player while keeping an early second rounder may appeal? Or perhaps more likely is we get 29 and a future 2nd with a 3rd rounder going back their way. I don't know. Losing Judd sucks and it's unlikely we're going to get fair value.

Mason Cox
Mason Cox is also 34. We're getting Max Heath anyway who will be 23 at the start of next season.

Petracca and 23 to the Suns 6, 7 and Budarick to the dees?- 2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Poor back half of the year. I'll admit I haven't watched the juniors as much this year but thought he was a cut above most during the champs.- 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

Always felt this expression falls short. For me, how my GIT system processes the pudding is equally important. Anything can taste good, I just dont want to spend the next 4 hours with the runs. Guess 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating and sh!tting" doesn't sound as nice.- 2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I'm still on the Farrow bandwagon. Wouldn't be upset with him at a mid first round pick if we get our hands on one.- Sam Flanders
Perhaps Hawthorn could be involved in some way for Mitch Lewis? Unlikely maybe given our interest in Mihocek.. If we acquire I high pick in this draft, I wouldn't be opposed to stock piling picks for next year and going hard for Butters.- Sam Flanders
If we lose out on Flanders to the Saints, and they do indeed pay pick 7, GC will be left with picks 6, 7, 13, 16 and 31. Highly doubt we would get 6 and 7 for Petracca but 6 and 13 could be realistic. Gold Coast essentially swap out Flanders for Petracca and pay pick 13 for the privilege. We get our alleged desired 2 x top 15 picks.- Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I'm not so sure. Both of those picks could easily end up in the 20s. Surely we can do better than that for trac.- 2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Sounds like Suns are refusing to entertain Humphrey as being part of any move this off-season. Would have been the ideal outcome if Petracca nominated the Suns.- Welcome to Demonland: Harvey Langford
