The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread

Dylan Stephens has officially requested a trade, allegedly linked with North. -
Same, my saints mate thinks he [censored] himself when he has it and turns it over
-
You can add Howe to collingwoods list as well. At least for us dees fans.
-
Plays on Carltons ruck when they're resting forward.
-
Agree with the first part, however Curnow will absolutely destroy Tomlinson with his athleticism. Surely plays on a resting ruck like Pittonet or TDK.
-
Didn't see the list but interesting if true about Tomlinson over Hibberd. Lever and May play best with a third tall so I'm happy. Tomlinson probably gets the nod due to experience over Turner. Conditions probably factored in as well. Slow wet slog is easier to defend and to kill the ball. Dry quick game will require greater aerial presence and intercepts in defence, Tomlinson will help May and Lever do this.

Bulldogs ruckman Sweet has officially requested a trade to Port.
-
That's a fair point, as it stands they have 13, 32 and 51. Will need to trade for Henry as well. It will most likely be 51 at this stage.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Nascent replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's just his ratings and doesn't necessarily indicate where they're going to be selected -
We'll get compo, he's now classified as an UFA due to being delisted previously. Can't imagine it will be anymore than a 3rd rounder. Having said that, I do wonder if there's compensation if saints offer him a base contract of like 2yrs x 100k. That may not trigger compensation.
-
If Harmes, Jordon and Dunstan all leave we'll have close to no midfield depth. Perhaps it will be a focus at the draft but surely we will look to bring in a mature mid like we did with Dunstan.
-
Bidding wars rarely happen and would only be the case in free agents. Once Grundy nominates a club, looking like Sydney, we'll negotiate with them alone. We do slightly hold the whip hand though in that we can keep him to our contract if we aren't happy with the compensation. All in all I think we move him on and we utilise the extra draft capital to have a crack at Gold Coasts pick 4.

Most likely. Although Chandler had a shocker as well, only had 8 pressure acts compared to his average of 30 as per wheelo ratings.

Maynard must get at least four weeks

Bet he's happy to be playing round 1 next year -
Brown and McDonald in the same forward line worries me. Smith would have to go back or be sub as well. Edit: quoted the wrong person

Sounds like Carlton are just trying to get Martin's strike downgraded from 2 weeks to 1 so will definitely miss our game. -
