  1. My last post on this topic. Cal Twomey has linked us with him in his latest draft rankings and Mark McGowen has us selecting him at pick 11.
  2. My understanding is that he's one of the top endurance runners in the pool and he's probably one of the best marks for a medium sized player. Has flexibility to play forward and through the midfield. Might not be extra flashy but I think he'll be a solid pick.
  3. Thanks @Demonland . Big year for him so hopefully all is well and he can have a great pre-season to put his best foot forward.
  4. Laurie there day one but missing the last two sessions. An early injury?
  5. Yep, clearly a troll now.
  6. That was a phantom done literally on the day of the draft. His rankings one week earlier had Kozzie at pick 19 if that does anything for you, though I'd hardly put any stock into Knightmares opinions. ESPN.comUpdated phantom draft: The first three roundsWith less than two weeks until the 2019 AFL Draft, ESPN expert Chris Doerre has analysed all the possibilities to expand his phantom draft into the first three rounds.Let's just see where Nairn is placed when all the various reporters release their final phantoms between Monday and Wednesday next week. To reinforce a point that you either refuse to acknowledge or comprehend. Cal Twomey, widely known as the most providing the most accurate predictions of how the first round will play out, has NOT done his phantom draft yet. He has also spoken on his show that various clubs, including us, hawthorn and Giants, are eyeing him off in that 10-15 draft range. Feel free to disagree with him.
  7. In case your not just trolling, feel free to look at cals form guide that had Kozzie at pick 30. Cal Twomey's 2019 Phantom Form Guide: November update - https://www.afl.com.au/news/149391
  8. These three picks are quickly becoming my preferred outcome assuming Robey and Taylor aren't available.
  9. I'm guessing it's not ideally set up for mobile. All I can do is potential trades in a fairly difficult to navigate way.
  10. Cal will release his actual phantom on Monday. His previous releases have been his own personal rankings. He watches a lot of junior footy and has decent insights but he's not a recruiter and there's always a decent variation between his rankings and his phantoms.
  11. I'm not sure we will have an realistic play on Gold Coasts or Brisbane's picks with only pick 37 to offer from a points perspective. Adelaide might be an option but that's a decent slide and we may miss out on both Nairn and Pickett. Perhaps there will be some elaborate multi-club trades that land us two mid to late first round picks but it's hard to imagine at this stage.
  12. Will probably be clearer what options are practice come cals phantom draft on Monday but as it stands multiple clubs between 10-15 are considering Nairn as per gettable. Eagles don't have a pick in the 20s currently and I actually wouldn't be surprised if Farrow is high up on our board as well. I think if we want to make a play for Pickett it's going to be via offering up Gold Coasts future first to a team that doesn't mind trading out of this year's draft for next. Maybe a team like the Dogs (Pick 14) Geelong (19) or Freo (20). Just my opinion at this stage. Or we just take him with pick 8. The other watch is what Carlton do with picks 9 and 11 and where a bid for Dean comes in. Perhaps we can get involved there somehow.
  13. Power granted NGA access to 2026's potential No.1 pick - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1452438 Port have been given NGA access to Dougie Cochrane who is in the early conversation to be the #1 pick along with Cody Walker. Given the new rules Port, who may finish low anyway, will only be able to use two first round picks to match a bid.
  14. Given how poor we could be next year, this song seems appropriate.
  15. Harris to remain a Dee, WA interest in Demons forward grows - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1452373 Harris has re-signed on a 2-year deal. Unfortunately this article also states that Zanker is viewed as likely to request a trade to WA.
  16. I would be pretty happy with this. Wouldn't be surprised if we offered Gold Coast future 1st + 37 if Pickett is still available later on.

  18. I've been in to bat for Laurie many times over the last couple of years. In my view his form at VFL should have been recognised, particular with our poor performing firsts, but Goody had marked his cards. Having said that, I can't see him fitting into the backline. He hasn't got the athletic profile or aerial game to play as a small lock down or rebounding defender. His position is best suited to high-half forward with mid rotations. He'll still have a battle ahead of him getting a game next year I think but a fresh start with a new coach might unlock some confidence. The epitome of a make-or-break year for Laurie.
  19. Might need to wait and see if the AFL let Tassie take him.
  20. Great shots. Club should put you on the payroll.
  21. I do like that site and frequent it many times throughout the year. More just a comment on the coverage from the official AFL website.
  22. Is it just me or is the draft coverage pretty poor so far considering it's only a week away now? There's usually the "get to know" draftee videos on the afl website that cover 30 players in a countdown towards the draft. I haven't seen any of shifters "best prospects" broken down by position either. Additionally, last year there was a dedicated afl.com search engine/function that allowed the average fan to look up player profiles and highlights. Haven't seen any of that this year unless I'm looking in the wrong spot.
  23. I think everyone should focus on the positive in this situation which is... Gold coast finishing 7th and being knocked out in the wildcard round and gifting us pick 9 instead of 12+ Death ride 2.0... Fall of the SunsTM (working title)
