I think it used to be a thing once upon a time but woewodin was named on the field last Thursday against Essendon and was obviously the sub. Edit: not sure if this extends to emergencies, they normally do come from the extended bench and I can't recall a time this hasn't been the case.

I thought we had a no DH policy?
-
I hope not

Guess it's going to be a simple swap of Woewodin for Laurie as sub.

Didn't finish the Casey game and allegedly copped a corkie.

Glad we are linked with Cumming. He'll slot in our back 22 nicely and free up Rivers to move to the midfield permanently. I like the idea of Housten but can't see Port letting him go and would be expensive to trade for. Perhaps further expansion of trading 2 years in advance will allow us to go for him?

We do a freemantle who missed out on Jackson and drafted Young, then traded in Jackson a few years later.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

AFL proposes change to NGA access for this year’s draft - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1173998 Proposal is to scrap the restriction on matching bids, reverting to NGA rules when the doggies were allowed to match a bid for JUH at pick 1. Full details still to be released and could be some caveats to it. Doesn't really affect us this year with Mentha not really being talked about as a top 40 pick. However could be good news for us next year with Tarion Ah-Mu showing significant promise this year as a bottom age ruck/fwd prospect for the stingrays. -
I wouldn't mind if we had a look at Jack Carroll, Ryan Angwin and Will Brodie (as Dunstan style depth).

Winner: Melbourne Why: Because -
Woey got injured at Casey so there might be an opportunity there as sub. Realistically he's in competition with Tholstrup for that half-fwd position but unlikely to see him dropped on current form.
-
Woewy allegedly injured and didn't return to the field for most of the second half. Lauire best on. This is probably the simple change. What we do re ruck is up for debate.
-
Did AMW get injured? The AFL app said he was "sub-injured" but has been wrong about this before
-
-
Without even touching on his forward craft, pressure, speed, the amount of goals he's kicked etc... he's one of the best dual sided players I thing I've seen in red and blue.

Stayed on the ground for a couple minutes but didn't spot him again after he went off.

2024 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS

Gold Coast and will be an interesting watch as well and how early a bid comes in got Lombard, do they get up ahead of a bid or trade down. Potential new rules may dictate their choices as well. Brisbane's pick for aschroft as well might be in play. -

If Adelaide want Petty they have the following picks to play with. 4, 29, 42, 60 No way they give up pick 4 and with a year to go on his contract and playing an important role as key position player, we aren't going to settle for 29 plus scraps. Future picks likely to be involved. Hopefully he just stays with us. -
Depends, will it help or hinder a potential pursuit of Harley Reid in two years?
