  1. Emma Quayle's rates her top 25.... NOT a phantom a draft The pick of the crop Reinforces what we already know, most of the talk is linking us to Wines but the possibility of Toumpas being available will make it a tougher choice.
  2. Always had massive respect for this bloke, you could count on him to give his all. All the best Barty.
  3. Agree, and with players able to nominate for the national draft combined with the creation of delisted FA, the pre-season draft is becoming less valuable and edging towards redundancy.
  4. If that bothers you then don't look at the inappropriate and over zealous use of diacritics in his favourite player(s) list.
  5. His standing at the back of the pack is of no real significance, so long as he and the whole group are improving... which they are.
  6. I don't know what sources, if any, are giving her information but you could bet almost anything that if she had been supplied any real news, then we would have known about it by now. This witch hunt is purely media driven, looking for a "shocking" scandal because that's what sells. It's frustrating to watch as it is clearly evident that most media commentators don't know what constitutes tanking and our name is getting slurred in the process.
  7. Don't think thats a conclusion you can make, certainly not from the information in the report. Ben-Hur and others have reported that Blease is miles ahead of where he was last year. Aerobic fitness is not his strong suit but he is putting in the hard yards and he is improving.
  8. Watts can play Rivers role down back equally as well if not better, and now we have specialised forwards to provide a better target in the front half than Jared.... Winning???
  9. Pretty sure that he was directed those comments at the AFL, implying that they were either burying their head in the sand or were involved in a conspiracy to protect us when there was supposedly "evidence of tanking" in 2009. It's interesting that Caroline states "In the next few weeks, I think that particular investigation is going to get very very nasty indeed, and a lot of lawyers are going to make a lot of money out of it." Moments later she says... "If melbourne has done what its alleged to have done..." My guess is she has no idea
  10. Any reports on Barry? Don't think i've seen him mentioned yet.
  11. How awesome is this guy. fapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfapfap
  12. Looking at the wording of rule 19 A5 "A person, being a player, coach or assistant coach, must at all times perform on their merits and must not induce, or encourage, any player, coach or assistant coach not to perform on their merits in any match - or in relation to any aspect of the match, for any reason whatsoever." A player, Coach or assistant coach. Every recent article that I have read has pointed to either Connelly or higher up (i.e. Schwab) as the source of "inducing" tanking. As for the perform on there "merits", well that appears to be open for interpretation too. Couldn't one argue that a coach's, assistant or otherwise, sole focus is to develop players. I would argue that the merits of the match for the demons of 2009 was to develop our woeful team by exposing players to different positions to improve their game. Hell even Sheedy has said he "tanked" in his '93 premiership season using this method... so surely the "playing players in different position" argument can just be thrown out altogether. Lol, look at me clutching at straws. Really wish the draft was tomorrow.
  13. He did both, while publicly shunning melbourne in the process... my hate for Mr Ball started that day whilst simultaneously stoking my collingwood rage... Perhaps I should let that anger go, It's like that old saying. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to anger. No, wait. Fear leads to hate, hate leads to the dark side. Hold on, no... First you get the women, then you get the money, then you... Okay, we'll forget that.
  14. I was using RPFC's list that already included Viney onto our list, and I am also aware Hogan will not be officially listed as a player next year. Edit: putting a smiley face in so I don't sound like a miserable dick...
  15. Luke Ball
  16. I can see us only using pick 4, 49 and 53 + PSD 3 or 1 delisted FA. So 4 picks in total plus upgrades of both Nicholson and Evans = 6 spaces. We currently have two. I would delist Cook, Bate, Bennell and Davis. Sign Bartram, Dunn, Petterd, MacDonald, Jetta, and Sellar to 1yr deals. Bail & Strauss I'd give 2 years. This gives them another chance to show the footy departement that they can fit into Neelds plans and that they have the dedication/commitment to get the best out of themeselves. If they don't, then we have our candidates for next years delisties because for me at this stage, I would like the current 2013 OOC players to remain at the club beyond then (Davey debatable).
  17. Dawes = 1 Hogan = 5 Pederson = 10 Pick 4 = 18 Viney = 21 Boourns = 27 Rodan = 29 Barry = 34 Other numbers potentially ... 6, 7, 15, (22 and 23 currently vacant)
  18. I really don't understand what Adelaide where thinking three years ago... Just stupid on every level.
  19. Officially a Demon today with the formality of the mini-draft selections taking place this afternoon. Welcome aboard Jesse. Suns, Dees secure 17-year-olds in GWS mini-draft
  20. I don't like the idea of shopping players around who have just re-signed. Great way to put players offside and I believe it would be detrimental to the culture we are trying to build.
