What can you tell me about Nathan Murphy Steve? Only just chosen footy as his primary focus I believe.

Could we swoop in on Matthew Kennedy? MFC has stated we're after midfield depth and GWS want a second rounder which the blues don't have. Watts goes we'll likely have three in a shallow draft. I honestly don't know much about him, would he be too much of the same inside type?

Now for the all important question, what number will he be playing in? (4?) 8, 9, 27, 31, 46. With respect to Trenners I reckon 9 would be a good fit.

Unless I'm mistaken this is how it stands at the moment post Lever trade. Three spots left on primary list: 28, 35, 46 (65, 83 pending further list changes) Bring Balic in and we only have two however trading Watts out opens it up again. Say Balic gets traded for 46 and Watts leaves for 30. We go to the draft with 28, 30, 35. Can't help but feel we'll package those up for an earlier pick. We've said in the past we were done before pulling out a trade that no one was expecting so I'll be watching this space. 28, 30, 35 = 1828 points or the "afl equivalent" of between pick 5 and 6. Considering the supposed weakness of the draft I don't see any teams parting with a top 10 pick for that combo. Looking at the draft order it's hard trying to see where a good package would come from in a direct swap that isn't somewhat lopsided, but perhaps something like Brisbane's 18 & 42 could work. Guess it all depends on how Taylor views this draft depth or if he has a target in mind that we need to trade up for.

Whilst I agree mostly with what you're saying, and wouldn't be particularly fazed if we gave two first rounders with another pick back our way, it's interesting that rockliff on a 4 x 650,000 contract is, reportedly, deemed worthy of an end of round 1 pick only by the afl. Of course there are a heap of variables/differences but interesting nonetheless.

Caught about 2 minutes of Sen this morning with Kb and another person, can't remember who. Lever was discussed briefly with the generally jist being the "mail" that Collingwood being in the mix was incorrect, however bulldogs staff allegedly think they're a chance. The overall feeling I got was Melbourne still in the box seat. Probably nothing that hasn't been speculated already.

Darcy Fogarty. Not sure this is the type of player we're after but he looks a likely prospect. Cal Twomey has him at number 7 in his August form guide and Knightmare has him at number 10. Seems more a utility type than the outside most are wanting.
