That being said it is very immature to use social media to say what doesn't have to be said Brock McLean - I mean Brent Moloney

1. Isnt Karma supposed to come in to play in the next life - as in paying the price for the sins of one life in the next? 2. Moloney is often maligned on this forum as being lazy, not working hard enough or not working on his defensive game enough. if you review his stats he certainly wasn't the worst offender defensively, and all views about his supposed laziness and work ethic are conjectural. 3. Now that Neeld is gone we might hear an alternate possibility. That Moloney was viewed by neeld as a stick in the mud unwilling to buy in to his game plan and voicing the opinions not only of himself but the playing group. if the truth comes out it will be interesting to hear if there is truth to the suggestion that Neeld infact came in, baked the players so hard that he lost some of them. Rumours of players crying, etc. Im not defending Moloney in terms of some of his behaviour last year or his expectation that he would walk into the captaincy as some have suggested. But I don't buy this continued BS that he was axed because he was lazy. it doesn't make sense when you look at his defensive stats and I was told the above by someone I know should know.

I heard from a similar source that he lost many players due to hard line baking sessions that made several cry. There were definate doubts about his coaching. proofs in the pudding - we might know more about our list at the end of the season than we do now.

Knee jerk? Neeld lost the players - the intense bakings of 2012 clearly didn't work. he walks away with one win from a season and a half of footy.

The material from the club was all very positive. the views in the media were scathjbg. I kept my rose colored glasses on but in hindsight we started the season with three mids debuting.

I don't automatically think Clark and Dawes were fails, or that Moloney would have provided a massive difference but the game is won and lost in the midfield and without one we shouldn't have been shocked we got smashed from round 1. but a agree the injection of some midfield class and depth might turn things around quickly. you hear that Rory Sloan might want to come home but we shafted him last time so I doubt he'd come to us.

He has no midfield because he chose to recruit Clark one trade period and Dawes the next while pushing out our main inside midfielder and not replacing him. So his own recruiting management has created the situation so he has no one to blame. Yeah the culture is fantastic - trying is optional.

Indeed. For me it started when we lost Scott Thompson. We did alright after that for a few years - in 2006 we finished higher than any other Victorian club. But replacing Daniher with Bailey, then sacking Jnr while hiring recruiters clearly on drugs made a small decline turn into a disaster.
