  1. Yeah Tom showed a lot of honesty and intergrity with the way he went about it. He may be a star yet but he will always be remembered as a mercenary. he could have stayed and OWNED our club. Been set up for life and be remembered as a great club man.
  2. Amen! I dont care whether he has been proven right be recent events. Point is that he never bought in from the start. And as meek as the demons often are, if they dont 'play like demons' in that game ill be very dissapointed - ive already got my banner printed up for the game: 'Prove $cully Wrong!'
  3. Darcy would know a bit about losing.
  4. At least Sellar draws a few defenders now for some reason.
  5. Yeah all true - i wonder how long he will draw defenders because he doesnt look like he can do anything other than stand at this stage. He did do a few decent taps.
  6. At the end of the day we cleaned out the leaders under Bailey and so a proper clean out might work wonders. Get in a few older players with hard, uncomprising attitudes and see if this turns the page.
  7. Because a tall forward is what we need LOL. i guess he can keep Mitch company in the long dark half hours they stand up there with no delivery...
  8. Dee-lusional is better than dee-pressed?? Then we are screwed!
  9. We have a shot in this game believe it or not. But jamar needs to tap to advantage not just randomly.
  10. Two points: 1. Darcy is just looking for someone's opinion to repeat which he has done here. 2. Football is a passion sport. The members dont join for any reason other than emotional ones. So when they pay their hardearnmed for a side that is underperforming they want to see improvement, commitment or care. Melbourne is regarded as a club that is soft and that lacks respect. That comes back to a lack of passion. And laughing and joking about or chatting with the opposition after a smashing kind of supports this view for mine.
  11. if you ask why you havent watched him. Ever wondered why in our games against St Kilda and Hawthorn the opposition locked the ball in their forward 50 for so much of the game?
  12. Agree with those that have been watching the club since the 70s and agree that we are at rock bottom right now and with the least light at the end of the tunnel. Infact currently the lights are Mitch Clark and a 17 year old.
  13. Yeah that is what I meant. Im also throwing this out there - I havent been excited about a new recruit as when I first watched Scott Thompson - and Im talking about Jordon Gysberts. Remember this post in five years.
  14. People talk like we were the only team that tanked - kruezer Cup, West Coast etc. And we were so bad at tanking we nearly beat Richmond that day.
  15. Everyone was jumping up and down telling us how ordinary Essendon's list was. And there is still a lot of season left for them to prove that right.
  16. id take Chris Yarren over both - but now im getting repetitive.
  17. Even Mick took a long time at Collingwood. And Im sure Neeld talks to his old mate a fair bit.
  18. fully agree with the comment on leadership and I have to say that Mitch has been great at all levels. I hate to think what he thinks of the rest of the team.
  19. Is Watts fast enough for that role? Composure under pressure?
  20. Chris Yarren is going to be a star.
  21. Davey is a shadow of his former self. Maybe this is speed, maybe its confidence, but all I know is that something is wrong and has been for a while.
  22. Maybe we should look at how the Redsox turned around a losing culture and poor success? LOL
  23. i also saw this. Some real talent has come out of that draft.
  24. It certainly doesnt seem to live up to Neeld's 'desire indicators'
  25. Get Billy onboard - he can start the 'get your D's out for the Dees' chant again (Yep, in 2005 two girls in a van flashed their boobs after a Demons win at the G and boy did it cap off a good night).
