  1. Yeah but he'd turn it over int he middle of the ground or even at the half forward line from disposal, rather than in our defensive 50.
  2. Very true. But young and built like an ant.
  3. I must admit I like his disposal. I have been a harsh critic but after some signs this year Ill shut my mouth for now.
  4. ive said it before, but i havent been as excited about a player since Scott Thompson.
  5. Ever since we got that new club emblem we have been ordinary, maybe its the 'southern cross' curse, rather than the 'Norm Smith Curse'?
  6. There a pretty good older player at GWS we could go for - his name is James MacDonald.
  7. All the forwards on the planet could be in our side but without the midfield delivery its pointless.
  8. Pity about Gysberts,
  9. Yarren - Run out of the back half would help. We havent had that since Ward.
  10. I remember Scotty Thompson in the midfield early and he just looked like a star. Bruce had some great seasons - one in particular where he was brownlow favourite as well until Guerra... But from the time we lost Thompson things have been downhill.
  11. Everyone has a price. We should have made sure we found his.
  12. Throw the kitchen sink at Dangerfield and Yarren
  13. One of my mates goes for Sydney so I tend to find these games annoying.
  14. The whole Grimes family go for the Demons and I believe there are two or three more brothers to come, some of the family associated with north eastern melb local footy.
  15. 'What you've got to do Aaron is try and stop running on the spot.'
  16. I just hope that the comments by a few big names in the dees that them going for Scully means game on for aggressive trades comes true at the end of the season and that we steal a few back. That might earn us a bit of respect finally.
  17. I think because we are already losing so badly why not give players like Bleese some decent game time?
  18. Even in the Daniher years Id often find it annoying that no one really respected us.
  19. true, too many passive, retiring types in the Dees for too long. Far too little mongrel. And you cant just bring in and manufacture mongrel - we tried that with Phil Read and Byron Pickett. Its more about the mindset. If tyou have hard, uncomprimising leaders it sets the standard for the younger players.
  20. Dont say that. Your depressing me. And then after he carves us up and makes us look VFL standard, all our players will go over and pat him on the back after the game.
  21. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/scullys-greatest-moment-is-a-giant-leap-forward-20120513-1ykys.html
  22. GOod call - and perhaps its just taking the older players longer because they are either dumber or cant be taught new tricks.
  23. So true that it makes me rip my hair out LOL! I even worry that a few envy him for going and would like to do the same. I wish we could bring back and send out Byron Pickett for just one game - that game! For one of those beautiful 4-week banning bumps
  24. wait and see - it will take time for them to get the new structure naturally and not have to think twice. then we might see some rapid progress.
