  1. Moloney's fine, only played one poor game recently. Premature judgement. Davey's played two poor years, showed nothing today and has lost his run. Get rid of him. Green has had one bad year recently and showed nothing today. He better get on with it fast. Someone wake me when Viney is playing.
  2. They should be playing for themselves.
  3. As long as it's more clever than droning "MEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLBBOOOOOOUUUURRRNNNNNNEEE."As far as I'm concerned that's only appropriate if and when we're beating the filth.
  4. To be fair, about half the songs in the league are based on patriotic American songs about their culture or their history. Well, them and France.
  5. Brisbane just moved their best defender up forward, because he played well against Carlton in the NAB. With all due respect considering the state of Carlton's back line at the moment I don't see that as a great achievement, They also seem to be focussed on shutting down Mitch Clark. Should give our other forwards a chance to sneak a few in. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/131788/default.aspx
  6. I didn't get that, but it might've been because I didn't get to the game till the second quarter.
  7. Jim and Sam did meet U2 back in 2010 so it's not out of the question http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150104809822317&set=a.414317157316.209227.285839797316&type=1
  8. I'm fond of 'magnum' since he's shaping up to be a gun. Shame he looks nothing like Tom Selleck
  9. That sounds like the best possible response. No screaming, or getting baited by him, just explaining the future repercussions of his actions and claiming the subject finished. I would like to follow that example.
  10. Out of interest how did Ox respond. Had my radio off during the interview
  11. I just turned my radio off. I wont give this child the time of day.
  12. Even if you don't agree with the public reaction to the past couple of days, why would anyone start bad mouthing so soon after his passing, surely even someone as dim-witted as Acker can understand what a grieving period is. The funeral hasn't even happened yet. Three guesses.
  13. Agreed. The team is still learning the gameplan. Neeld is probably just getting them to master the basics and progress naturally. I think the difference between how we play at the beginning of the season to how we play at the end will be polarizing.
  14. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that what we've seen is really just the bare bones of the gameplan. I don't think "bomb it long, and win contests" is the entire design of the gameplan, and we'll see more complexity throughout the year.
  15. My heart goes out to the man and his family. Keep fighting, mate. You're the most inspiring person of our age. Could you get his signature? That won't have legal issues will it? Sorry for any ignorance I'm not really a tattoo person myself.
  16. Butcher stuck his arm out jumped and turned his head away. Not even looking at the ball. He may not have gone up to hurt Sylvia but he didn't have any regard for his actions. It is the very definition of reckless. Last year Sylvia slightly stuck his arm out while going for a bump and got two weeks.
  17. Since when has six weeks equated to two months? Or did they mean rounds when they said weeks?
  18. I went 10th, hoping for higher but not getting ahead of myself as that can be hazardous as a Melbourne supporter. The team is learning a new gameplan, it's quite clear they haven't worked out the kinks in it but they've shown it can be very effective when it works. The team will have to put in a lot of work to beat some of the top sides but they should certainly be challenging some of the teams just above and around them. I have no doubt this will be an exciting year though. The team will grow accustomed to this new game style and with the experience they get from this year they'll come out harder, faster, stronger, and better.
  19. Says something about his communication skills then.
  20. I'm not trying to twist your words I just think that assuming a persons strengths and weaknesses based on the colour of their skin is absolutely ridiculous. You don't have to hate a race to say racist things, all you have to do is judge people based on their race rather than what they can actually show you. I don't know whether or not Rendell has something against Aboriginals but someone making recruitment judgements based on such a petty idea is the worst way he could do his job.
  21. That's a stretch of an interpretation to get out of that quote, and generalising the athleticism of someone's race is racist in itself.
