Probably an easy way out for the selectors too, who won't want to drop Pedersen. Having said that, pretty hard to drop a debutant after a good game and we've seen earlier in the year that the FD is more than willing to sacrifice the short term to get games into the young players they rate.

I've seen more out and out punch ups on a basketball court caused by tunnelling than anything else. Doesn't matter that it is a different sport though, once you take out someone's legs and make them lose control of where their body lands, it opens up a huge amount of potential trouble.

It's such a tough balance, because on the one hand you always try to make the team better, but on the other it's pretty hard not to reward the players who pushed through yesterday. I suspect Hogan will need another week anyway - they'll probably give him the week off travelling is my guess.
