  1. Oh come on. Already??
  2. I'd get in a Datsun for 6 months in Romsey with BBO.
  3. You probably didn't take into account the 7 that were given by the umpires.
  4. I agree completely. They're just much more obvious than, say, Kent stuffing up a kick going into 50. Although Kent was great today too
  5. Just on that, can you imagine if Watts had rocked up to the current FD as an 18 year old? He'd be an absolute bloody star. Still want Oliver in the magoos? Sorry, but he is absolutely nothing like Gysberts. That was sensational. He's a beast. Some of those tackles were 2 in a row in the last, when we were a couple of goals up. It really kicked our intensity into gear. He's a leader at 19.
  6. To be fair, he does have some absolute brain farts and, given where they occur, they often cost us goals. But so did Kent last week, and Brayshaw this week. Tom is clearly instructed to take the game on and when his kicks hit the target, we get out and it looks fantastic. He is one of the best KPDs in the league, let alone for his age. He is just an essential signing.
  7. Good. Roll with it. I actually don't. I think they all had a red hot crack today.
  8. Go on, old dee, name him and be done with it. I'm not surprised it's you focussing on the one negative on such an utterly brilliant day.
  9. It will be really interesting, I think. Often age catches up with players really quickly, and it seems that most of their older brigade are fairly marginal for next year (thinking in particular of Hodge and Burgoyne). Mitchell, Lewis and Gibson only have a year or two left I would think, after those two. If their old players all crash at the same time, it leaves a big hole. They have a profile like St Kilda and North, in that the older players hold the team together. That's hugely different to teams like GWS, the Dogs and us, where the younger players are the ones pushing through and driving performance. Anyway, Tom McDonald. Just can't imagine him not signing up to be part of this, and it will be a huge loss if he doesn't.
  10. Hogan - Center Half Back?
  11. And let's just completely ignore the picking up the bloke with the ball by one leg and driving him into the ground. How is that not even being mentioned? He's clearly been learning from his mates Hodge, Mitchell and Lewis.
  12. That's because he is a dirty, filthy, punch behind the play sniper. Won't even be cited, as usual. Filth of the highest order.
  13. I actually laugh when I think of Frawley - yeah, sure, he won a cheap flag last year, but they are definitely on the slide. They'll make the mistake of letting all their aging stars go around next year, will have a pretty average time of it, and will chop them all at the end of next year. You saw today that Cyril is the only important player they have under 30. Gunston and the rest will be much less effective once they're not getting delivery from Mitchell, Hodge, Lewis, Gibson and Burgoyne. They're done, and Frawley will be playing with a rubbish team again. Good luck to him.
  14. Disagree. We could well have taken Brayshaw and left Petracca on the table. Even if we swapped Brayshaw for Frawley, I'd take it every day of the week. We'll be fine.
  15. This. He was incredible today - Frost and Oscar coming along really nicely as well.
  16. Was immense today. His contested work has been off the charts compared to where he was. Good on him - couldn't be happier for him. It's great seeing the footy world finally take notice of him too.
  17. Post of the year, just quietly. Almost weed myself.
  18. Agreed. I thought he was excellent.
  19. He'd have to have a few BOGs and we've won 9 games. He does have a good ping at the umps though, so maybe not. He definitely won't get any votes from that bald bloke - remember that horrible bounce where he smashed it 20 metres and the peanut cracked it at him?
  20. Best game you'll have watched in 10 years mate, without a doubt.
  21. Start the post match thread already!!
  22. Harmes just had to hit that target. Two goal lead would have been extremely handy at this point.
  23. It would be alarming if our only really massive wins in two years came without him in the team.
  24. We're more desperate than they are at this point. Viney and Tyson were absolutely immense that quarter. My worry is more that Hawthorn just know how to get it done in a tight game. Having said that, we'll win one of these games soon and we'll never look back.
