Don't blame anyone for leaving when Frawley left, we had been a mess for so long.
Now we have built a club that is desirable to be at, we have strong development and improved our on field leadership.. It is not our job to try and convince Tom to stay, we have created a strong club culture and from what I understand have made him an offer which is inline with what the club can afford based on other talent we have.. It is up to Tom what he wants to do. If he goes, then we will bring someone else. It is about structure more than individual talent.
I actually laugh when I think of Frawley - yeah, sure, he won a cheap flag last year, but they are definitely on the slide.
They'll make the mistake of letting all their aging stars go around next year, will have a pretty average time of it, and will chop them all at the end of next year.
You saw today that Cyril is the only important player they have under 30. Gunston and the rest will be much less effective once they're not getting delivery from Mitchell, Hodge, Lewis, Gibson and Burgoyne.
They're done, and Frawley will be playing with a rubbish team again. Good luck to him.

If he had 'bought in' to our club we would have been better off.
Disagree. We could well have taken Brayshaw and left Petracca on the table. Even if we swapped Brayshaw for Frawley, I'd take it every day of the week. We'll be fine.

If today doesn't prove that McDonald's signature is as important as Hogan's, I don't know what does.
Sign McDonald x 2 and move on. FFS we are [censored] if we lose him!
This. He was incredible today - Frost and Oscar coming along really nicely as well.

Was immense today. His contested work has been off the charts compared to where he was. Good on him - couldn't be happier for him.
It's great seeing the footy world finally take notice of him too.

I thought Vandenburg contributed some valuable body work, tackling and handballs in congestion. 14 possessions and a goal. Servicable
Agreed. I thought he was excellent.

Gonna be interesting to see how he polls on Brownlow nightHe'd have to have a few BOGs and we've won 9 games. He does have a good ping at the umps though, so maybe not.
He definitely won't get any votes from that bald bloke - remember that horrible bounce where he smashed it 20 metres and the peanut cracked it at him?

Harmes just had to hit that target.
Two goal lead would have been extremely handy at this point.

What needs Jesse Hogan...
It would be alarming if our only really massive wins in two years came without him in the team.

Kicking to lower scoring end in final quarter. Can't see us getting up but will be good effort
We're more desperate than they are at this point.
Viney and Tyson were absolutely immense that quarter.
My worry is more that Hawthorn just know how to get it done in a tight game.
Having said that, we'll win one of these games soon and we'll never look back.

Bloody brilliant. I actually reckon the terrible umpiring has geed them right up and we're going to roll over the top.

Silly by Harmes.
What the hell is he supposed to do? He was running out of the area, with his back to the player. Should he Disapparate?

Withput upsetting anyone and as as much as I dont like him, riolli is a bloody good player.
I hope tracca can become a superstar.
What's annoying is how the commentators pretend things like his throws are quick hands and his sniping high bumps are fair etc etc etc

Of course he is. Who said he wasn't?

Rioli - one of the best marks of the season, says Dwayne.
Completely ignoring Pedo's, of course, which was exponentially better.

What about the non-50 to Brayshaw well after the umpires blew his whistle? We turned it over and cost us a goal instead of having a shot from 20-30 out. Definitely would've been paid the other way
This too. Infuriating, especially given they paid a stupid cheap one against Viney when he was just running to man the mark.

He had 6 clearances that term. Sensational stuff. Love how quick he is with the ball in terms of making a decision.
And he's kicking the ball. Clearly, they've told him to focus on gaining some territory and being a bit more damaging with his disposal. He's obviously worked on it, and he's killing it.

For those who are saying look how good we are going without Hogan, may i remind you that Weideman is a more natural lead than Hogan. Weed knows when to time his run when the ball is coming to him.
Jesse is a natural CHF. He wants to go to the ball, not wait for it.
When we have Hogan leading up the ground and making himself a big, strong marking target across half forward, with Watts and Weed back, we'll be unstoppable.

I will, better comments on forums with neutrals without the biased emotional garbage whinging about umpires every comment.
And just quietly, the reason everyone is so frigging angry about it, is because we have a fantastic young team, who desperately need a big scalp, and who would be five goals up at half time against the probable premier but for some absolutely disgusting, unfathomable decisions.
If you don't like it, nick off to BigFooty and talk about the game with West Coast supporters or something.

That's because he is a dirty, filthy, punch behind the play sniper. Won't even be cited, as usual.
