  1. Agreed - but they are war horses. Neither are rated in the league's top 350 players.
  2. In 2019, I wrote a long dissertation that I posted here on the pros and cons of sacking a coach. It's merely a business case. If the cost of replacing him is less that the amount the club looses in membership revenue - then it becomes pretty compelling for coach and club to part ways. We are there now.
  3. Def. It's not called the FIXture for nothing.
  4. I heard someone from the Filth say a month ago that they began planning, on an individual basis, when to rest players, loading, training regimes etc. as soon as the '25 FIXture was released.
  5. Don't bet on it. Pick 25 was involved in the Caleb Daniel pick last year - and it's a complete bust. If Daniel was worth P25 then Lever is top 5!
  6. 200% this. Norf's backline is full of c-graders. They would take Lever in a heartbeat, pay his salary, and give us a first rounder. Would also give Jake a new lease-of-life I recon. We should have let JV go to Norf last year. Would have been good for Jack, Norf and us.
  7. Not true at all. South Melbourne and Fitzroy have been doing it for decades.
  8. King clips his sails to allow for prevailing winds.
  9. The claim only holds up if you ignore what Melbourne has gained from its Category B rookies: 2 All Australians, 2 Bluey Truscott winners, 1 Club Captain, 4-time leading goalkicker.
  10. Surprised he don't go to Filth, PBP or Dogs then.
  11. I'm pretty sure if MM was to line up for this Deez this week - we'd have to start Max at FF and make Kosi 19th man.
  12. The fact that he's a one-grabber and applies defensive pressure shouldn't preclude him from a game in the seniors.
  13. This is sounding like the brontosaurus skit.
  14. Sounds like you're pretty irregular @layzie ?
  15. I would have thought following the Deez is penance enough for your sins SWYL.
  16. What has fair got to do with anything in life - let alone anything related to the AFL?
  17. Not in the universe occupied by the Deez. "Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search of our better selves?" - The First History Man.
  18. He was actually all alone and unattended.
  19. Big shoutout to @Deez21 , who’s diving into Ghostwriter like it’s the fourth quarter of a prelim and everything’s on the line. After countless hours poured into the club – cheering, designing, cutt'in 'n' past'in, heavy lifting, driv'in and fly'in and possibly hexing umpires – they are now taking their rightful place in the data trenches. @Ghostwriter's training reports have long held excellent standing on land, and now they're tackling the cloud with the same fierce loyalty and unrelenting accuracy. The club’s spine may wobble, but the target of your venom does not. Love you Ghosty.
  20. Deez21 is on precisely the right forum.
  21. Luke Jackson. We'll need to recall him from the fellowship program in the West.
  22. We'll be needing a new captain in a few years - maybe Jacko is our man?
  23. Send JT to the next Butchers Picnic. We'll find someone there.
