  1. Send Peter Bell a grand piano - see if he can play that.
  2. Multiple choice time: a. he was wearing navy blue and red b. he has a shaved head, looks mean, plays for keeps c. him name is not Cripps, Green or Maynard/Moore d. all of the above
  3. Stephen May may be back from injury, and if May plays, forwards may find it tough to score, as May may just shut them down before they may even get a sniff.
  4. But has he been training the house down?
  5. In first reading, I saw "I think the wind and the nickers are more to blame than JVR". And immediately thought "no wonder he was in knot yesterday".
  6. We did not loose the game because of fitness, one less game that GW$, the kids, the umpires, yadda, yadda, yadda . . . We lost because: there was ZERO on-field leadership during the last 100 seconds of the game, and the off-field catastrophy of 2024 most definitely, probably, cost us Houston. So utterly *&%#ing Melbourne.
  7. Greatest hollywood movie of all time?
  8. Maybe if we weren't such a dumb club . . .
  9. That Kossi bloke is not too bad.
  10. Vines 3 votes today.
  11. Can we get rid of all other umps and have Matt umpire ever game every round - including goal, boundary and ARC?
  12. So the data over the last three years is interesting @binman and @M_9. In 2024, 25 percent of games were won by sides with fewer i50s that their opposition. Here's the spooky bit, in 2023 it was 5 percent and in 2022 it was statistically insignificant ~0 percent.
  13. Meanwhile - on the Essendrugs thread over at Big Footy . . .Well, at least we made Carlton supporters feel a bit better tonight.
  14. Horethorn have just beaten Essendrugs with fewer inside 50s. It would be interesting to get the trend over the last 2-3 season - agreed.
  15. Completely agree with your point Binman. But the data is the data. Unless a team can slingshot with precision off half back on a regular basis, ones chances of grabbing a flag are significantly reduced.
  16. how do we fit all these champions into the salary cap?
  17. @M_9 - please do not share facts from someone who knows his facts on Demonland.
  18. And as if the news couldn't get any better for us, remember this: In 2024, Carlton traded its 2025 Round 1 selection and 2025 Round 2 selection to Hawthorn for its 2024 Round 1 selection in the 2024 and 2025 AFL Drafts respectively.
  19. meanwhile . . . over at big footy: In the last 15 years, we've spent seasons at the bottom of the ladder with Richmond, Brisbane, and Melbourne, trading wooden spoons with them. Since then, Brisbane have a flag, Melbourne have a flag, and Richmond have three. Now Richmond are rebuilding again and may well beat us to the next flag. We've become a St Kilda-level basket case. Last 2 premiership season games the CFC have dished up the embarrassing 60-0 v Brisbane just before half time EF. And now conceding 12 of the last 14 goals to the wooden spooners .
  20. best comment over there so far . . . As flaccid a performance as Luke Sayers' photo
  21. Looks like i picked a good day to forget about putting $100 on Blues to win by 60+. And now there will be the inevitable questions . . . are they already tanking?
  22. Some amazing posts in this thread.
  23. Mate, I think you've just unlocked a new tier of existential footy crisis here. I mean, forget the heat death of the universe—the real question is how does Jack Billings keep getting games? And, how can you mend a broken heart? How can you stop the rain from falling down? How can you stop the sun from shining? What makes the world go 'round? How can you mend this broken man? How can a loser ever win? Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again
  24. If I had been 6'6 with athletic ability and half a cup of courage, I would have played CHF for Croydon.
