Wow - didn't know that. Pretty much explains everything.

If only Luke Jackson hadnât leftâŠ
Jacko and Failmantle had a prime chance to be the feel-good story of the comp this weekend, but they completely blew it. Jackson should have been wise to this mob's history. A place good footballers go to die.

Your Preferred Premier 2024
I'm hoping they lock the stadium gates at quarter time and throw away the keys.

Unlike others on this site, Billy is doing a good job of not being a hero.

NON-MFC: Round 24
The chaos ball, if used wisely (i.e. not Melbourne), still works amazingly well.

How many years until our next premiership?
I'm no dooma or glooma - but the sooner we rocognise that it's all the fault of Lawry and Jeffo - the sooner we can resurrect our dynasty. Written with due diffidence to Weed and Watts.

An Exec summary would mean that the gist of the judgement can be read and understood in 7.5 minutes. Can you imagine the impact on that for next year's holiday in Europe and the lease payments on the new Bentley?

Greg Stafford departs Melbourne
Goodyâs game planâobviously. Kateâfor sneezing near a training session. The re-emergence of the Norm Smith curseâbecause we just canât resist. The umpiresâstandard procedure, really. Maynardâbecause even if heâs not involved, why not?

Greg Stafford departs Melbourne
Greg Staffordâs departure from Melbourne is one of those "it is what it is" moments. Footy is a results-driven industry, and going forward, the Dees will need to adapt in the space. Staffordâs been in the system long enough to know how it works, but now itâs up to the boys to step up, find that fresh voice, while staying true to our brand.

Port Adelaide Chasing Kozzy Again
Port Adelaide Chasing Kozzy Again The best backmen in the game can't catch him - what chance a lumbering edifice?

THE GREATEST PLAYERS IN MELBOURNE DEMONS HISTORY
Can't take it seriously at all. It's ridiculous that Peddo doesn't get a guernsey.

Port Adelaide Chasing Kozzy Again
I've renewed my interest in Butters Wellsy. My cardiologist is none to happy.

Garry Lyon brilliant!
Demonland is a wild pastiche of Melrose Place, Downtown Abbey and I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here. Your wife couldn't make half this chite up @Monbon.

Garry Lyon brilliant!
Did you see Buckley's face when he started c**ping on about Tassie?

Garry Lyon brilliant!
There have been some great speeches over the journey. âThe Sermon on the Mountâ by Jesus Christ (c. 30 AD), âThe Citizen of the World Speechâ by Socrates (399 BC), âThe Quit India Speechâ by Mahatma Gandhi (1942) are no doubt in the top 10. Jack Dyer, when asked for a comment about Carlton great Bob Chitty, who had died a few days earlier, Jack replied: âYeah, bit of bad luck for Bob . . .â. This easily gets a nod in my top 10 (squeezed between Soc and Gandhi). Gary's squeezes into the top 10 (although I haven't listened to it - but judging from Demonland, it clear is superior to carp like âI Have a Dreamâ by Martin Luther King Jr. (1963) and âWe Shall Fight on the Beachesâ by Winston Churchill (1940). John Kennedy's "Don't think, do" ranks at 1,967, 456, 835 on my personal list.
