  1. I'm shocked at how shocked you were.
  2. Take your point @Demonsone. But the '94 team was easily surpassed by the 2023 team IMHO.
  3. No, no, no on Waterperson. He's a better cultural fit at ArmageDON.
  4. Hey came from the rookie draft, and mostly plays as such.
  5. Mate - I haven't moved on from Matthews flattening Peter Giles and Steven Smith off the ball in the '70's.
  6. thank goodness.
  7. Me too @Smokey. the cost of getting to and fro from Melbourne is beyond a man of modest means in QBN. There's no way my rangy would get there and back without a tow truck being involved.
  8. In the last 25 years, third round picks (not counting father sons) have collectively, at least: accounted for five brownlow medals accounted for 40 odd B&Fs become premiership players 15 times.
  9. I know when I've given up on the season . . . more interested in draft order than the ladder. As at 3/4 time and half time in the two final Sunday games, we now nominally have pick eight.
  10. he's been gone since 2019 :-). Don't you read demonland every week?
  11. I know I missed the game, and it’s a wild story. First off, my Range Rover decided to throw a tantrum and broke down in the middle of nowhere. I figured, “Why not make the most of it?” So, I grabbed my skis from the trunk (thankfully, I always keep them handy for such emergencies) and hit the nearby slopes instead. As if that wasn’t enough, I got word that Jack Watts wasn’t playing. Without him, the game just isn’t the same. So, I found myself a cozy lodge, where I was greeted with a fantastic cheese board and a warm rug by the fireplace. Skiing, cheese, and comfort seemed like a pretty good trade-off at that point. So, in summary: car drama, impromptu skiing, no Jack Watts, and the allure of a cheese board and warm rug by the fire. Quite the trifecta!
  12. I've heard some [censored] in my time, but this seriously takes the the toilet brush.
  13. Come on Crank. There's an old saying in Canberra - never get between a state premier and a bucket of money. If Kossi ever become premier of WA, he'd be out the front door and half way to the airport before the other premiers had pulled out their ATM cards.

  15. I'd say about 12 days.
  16. When it comes to Swooper, I only have one thing to say . . . Beeeeeeeeeeeeneeeeeeeeeeeett.
  17. Regardless of what anyone comes up with from Demonland - no one will ever beat Machine Gun Fellatio as a name.
  18. The biggest FM is Australia is just down the road from me @Ethan Tremblay. Should we win, I recon I can get a good price on them ripened plums. Don't bruise 'em between now and game time.
  19. Most do. But not all. Richmond, Norf and Wet Toast take 26.
  20. Ensuring the burnout marks don't appear on the deck before the five minute mark of the game.
  21. Come on Crank. You and I have been watching footy for a cumulative total of close to 100 years. Yep, Hardwick delivered three flags and Goody one (to date). Hardwick had the best player I've seen in 50 years deliver in the finals - and especially in the grannies. He also had Lynch - who will go close to kicking 600 career goals (all being equal). Without Lynch, they win two flags at best. I do concede though, we left one on the table last year. If Tom Lynch played for us - we waltz away with the '23 pennant. The margin between success and what might be considered a 'failure', is paper thin (about 5 gsm actually :-)).
  22. Not educated by the Jesuits - that's for sure.
  23. I couldn't agree more. The only genei I know are me. I once got 88 out of 100 for an IQ test you kno.
  24. It's like reading one of my essays.
