  1. excellent pounts. and there's sicily and daniher as well. shoot!
  2. Glad you're not on our match committee.
  3. Pretty close to the dumbest footballer going around.
  4. RPC (Royal Parade Cheaters) turned him into a better footballer post Demons. Surrounded him with better players therefore limiting his deficiencies whilst maximising his strengths.
  5. why does the league use a yellow footy when the seats are yellow? anyone else finding the ball hard to track against the background?
  6. FWIW . . . the data tells us that the average time between severe abuse (e.g. sexual abuse) taking place and being reported is approximately 40 years. Severe abuse usually causes shame and guilt - even though the abused is in no way to blame for the abuse. However, deep feelings of shame, for example, debilitate people's lives to the point where they live in fear and experience horrible anxiety and low self-esteem. This often results in, among other things, an inability to discuss and disclose the abuse - and in some cases ends in suicide. Like others, I know only what has been reported of the Wilkinson matter. If it comes to pass that his case is substantiated, I really hope that the full force of the law is bought to bear on the abusers and their supporters.
  7. One of the few sensible comments on this thread.
  8. Hogan - continued outstanding season [has big tank] T.McDonald - a significant impact [field kicking horrible] Weideman - junk time possessions [self belief everything] Neal-Bullen - replace with Viney [replace with anyone] Petracca - was obviously underdone [still awaiting breakout] Jones - impressive captain’s game [ultimate blue collar] Brayshaw - career best game [upside is enormous] Gawn - was masterful again [took opponent apart] Harmes - important but careless [good - weak opposition] Oliver - back to best [loves the contest] Spargo - love his endeavour [very encouraging signs] Tyson - prolific but wasteful [Taylor likes him!] Hannan - made an impact [doesn't do enough] Melksham - not as potent [not impotent though!] Fritsch - lots to like [please get involved] Hibberd - returned to best [thank you Essenscum] Hunt - effective but lacking [can't find plot] Jetta - brave and reliable [quietish but reassuring] Lever - improving each game [worth the dough] Lewis - professional and important [meh . . . really?] O.McDonald - underrated and important [competition top 12] Vince - barely wasted possessions [ultimate team man]
  9. The last umpire to look after us was Beitzel in '55. Harry himself said that had he umpired us in '58, he would not have let Weidemen go around thumping our blokes. There was acrimony between Weideman and Beitzel thereafter. But Beitzel had the last laugh in '76 when Weideman coached the Filth to the wooden spoon and came off the long run on radio, television and newspapers. Fixed him right up. When Punt Road sacked Hafey in '76, Beitzel rang the Filth and said "Tommy's the guy for you". Weideman was subsequently sacked and Hafey installed as coach of the Filth. Weid never forgave the Big H.
  10. Extremely stupid question Bobby Mac. Of course we should be worried! I'm worried every week. I've been worried for 54 years about the umpiring. Glenn James, Mike (?) Dellar, Darren Goldspink, Gavin Dore, John Russo, Rowan Sawers, Ian Robinson, Neville Nash, Kevin Smith. They all used to crucify us. I'm sure there were more. And of course that bloody Nichols gets stuck into us these days. Neita and Jacka were only paid half the free kicks due to them whilst that bloody 24 up at Sydney was the original MC Hammer (can't tough this). Very, very bad state of affairs I'm afraid Bobby.
  11. Agree Dirts. Already looks like he's played 50 games. More composure than Harmes who has played 50!
  12. Now I'm really worried!
  13. Hannan - pace and movement (Welcomed footy IQ) Spargo - feisty and clever (Found one here) Gawn - made a statement (Played to strengths) Brayshaw - important second half (Making good progress) Fritsch - some exciting plays (Lot to enthuse) Hogan - never moved freely (Alway dangerous forward) Neal -Bullen - continued poor season (Time for spell) Harmes - overplays his abilities (Low footy IQ) Hibberd - found energy again (Provided dash today) Hunt - displayed more run (Has lost it) Jetta - statistics belied effectiveness (Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful) Jones - wonderful captain’s game (Wasteful at times) T.McDonald - an impressive return (Makes BIG different) O.McDonald - steady and safe (Becoming A grade) Tyson - often butchered momentum (Usual from Tyson) Lever - steady and effective (Better signs continue) Lewis - a mixed bag (What leadership evidence?) Vince - just a game (Tick) Oliver - was quiet again (Please kick more) Salem - enjoyed more freedom (Beginning to arrive) Weideman- quiet when needed (Lot to excite) Melksham - has rediscovered confidence (Becoming very reliable)
  14. Shoot . . . looked up to standard to me. Maybe it's just me???
  15. Wow . . . that's saying something. hehehe. Although there's one or two blokes running around in the red and the blue who need to improve their footy IQ. Yes, Jayden and Harmesy . . . looking at you!
  16. Typical Stringer. Glad we didn't get him.
  17. Close to the dumbest footballer running around. And to think some of the punditry tipped him for the Brownlow. Dick.
  18. i'm doing the 14 hour round trip Brendon.
  19. And we managed it without Jack Watts.
  20. I've never accepted the hype around the latest St Kilda reincarnation. Compare our best four with theirs and it's daylight in between IMHO. Is someone able to inform me . . . who is their Oliver, Trac, Jesse and Max? Is it possible I am missing something. Happy to have my reality readjusted.
  21. Yep . . . Jack was always reasonable one-on-one in an open forward line with minimal pressure. The key learning from this is that the Dorkers won't be playing in this year's Grand Final.
  22. What??? Really???
