  1. Can’t see Draper getting past the Crows
  2. I loved him last season wasn’t a good championship for him this year, but there can be many factors for that, which aren’t long term concerns
  3. He’s an ultimate professional in preparation and discipline to get the best out of himself, in a similar fashion to Woey Snr and the Pendlebury types. Comes from good stock Grandfather George Hampson is a legend in WAFL and uncle Damian was drafted by Carlton in the 90s
  4. I have no idea but he’s rising and due diligence being done by a few clubs and several keen. We have interviewed him recently
  5. Wouldn’t be so certain on that, a lot of interest in the last few weeks with Hamish Davis from a range of clubs, I consider him to be a bit of a bolter who may continue on the upward trend given the amount of attention attracted and follow up interviews with him, clubs are having
  6. It’s been in meltdown all morning as news broke overnight about the trade.
  7. Hugh Boxshall, big bodied inside mid won the 2km time trial at the WA Combine with a 6.08, will attract some interest with a late/rookie pick
  8. We have been watching him through the year, he has plenty of upside as he’s fairly new to KPD, 2023 got moved there at WAFL was previously played in Ruck by especially at PSA level with Christchurch. WAFL Colts grand final from this year is worth a watch for his 1v1 work. Younger brother Elijah also a very good KPD who will likely play as an underager in next years national championship
  9. Yes we interviewed him earlier in the year and not sure if we did again during the combine. Angove didn’t have as good a season this year as his underage year. Injured in preseason which caused some interruption. He has very good lateral movement, acceleration, vision and can impact the scoreboard.
  10. And that was also a poor decision, probably why De Goey has also failed to reach his potential. And don’t think for a second the decision may yet come back to bite us.
  11. Yet had we made him continue to do a block of pre season training and made a statement after the Lorne incident with a multiple game ban as other clubs did with Stevie J, Heath Shaw and Michael Walters in the past we may well have 1. Got his fitness at a level which would have lasted for the remainder of the season 2. Set a standard and message to the playing group that poor behaviour would not be tolerated 3. Made a decision which didn’t cause division within the playing group over preferential treatment 4. Long term view but we may not be in the current situation had we chosen action as opposed to talking tough
  12. That is the biggest issue and enough for someone to be moved on Conditions not being put in place on the contract and the length
  13. You nailed it pretty much
  14. They have Charlie Banfield next year as FS and likely younger brother Harper in 26. They will also be across Harley Reid and whether he chooses to commit further
  15. I think he might, I’d have money on them taking Draper at 3
  16. I don’t see a Fyfe in Allan, Davis’s end of season form was better in the seniors. If they don’t think Allan is worth 3 they won’t take him, just like they didn’t take Curtin early last season despite wanting him
  17. I’d still want a good pick to go with it.
  18. I’m hearing West Coast very keen on Bo Allan, that being the case I would anticipate a pick swap somewhere as Bo definitely isn’t pick 3
  19. Geelong don’t have the collateral to obtain Oliver, so they can like all they want and be in his ear as much as they like
  20. This kid has plenty of tricks, speed and can do freakish things. Attitude and effort at times are the question marks. My youngest played against Wes all the way through community footy and I coached him at development level for 1 year. His dad (also Wes) was also a handy player
  21. I question his speed tbh, has most the other tools but no X factor or speed
  22. Would be a good outcome given a lot of what we require is in this draft
  23. So am I and I think from his post @dazzledavey36 is also happy IMO bringing some quality young mids in to go with our mature players and the mid age range Rivers, Mcvee types will be more beneficial long term
  24. That’s not totally true Dazzle, despite the rhetoric being put out by Houston we were very much the destination club for him. It’s nothing to do with the Petracca story it’s all to do with us letting Port know we weren’t interested in their asking price. We will be going to the draft this year unless some too good to be true left field offer comes in
  25. Cody Curtin is the one from WA recruiters will be watching 198, big tank and quick for his size. Strong and can take a contested mark. So much upside with him. Blake Kelly clean inside mid good hands and composure
