  1. So did you actually see our 1948 premiership win then Deeoldfart?
  2. He’s way too good to lose.
  3. I voted Clarry, but think Max is our most valuable ATM with Tommy Mac right up there too (well he’s nine months younger than Max)
  4. It’s great to be winning games we’re supposed to win for the first time in how many years?!
  5. 6. Tom McDonald 5. Gawn 4. Jones 3. Oliver 2. Harmes 1. Lewis many others, Lever, Hibberd, Jetta, ANB, (not Weid) Some days Melksham is a fantastic kick, sometimes it’s a bit off.
  6. 6. Oliver 5. Gawn 4. Hibberd 3. Hogan 2. Jones 1. Brayshaw we’re so better with TMac Great to see the defense winning for a change!!
  7. Thanks DeeWiz, I forgot that. The relatively recent MFC Dark Ages when we rarely won two in a row, still have me conditioned to disbelieve we could win four in a row now.
  8. I’m curious, does anyone know when we last won 4 or more games straight?
  9. 6. Gawn 5. Jones 4. Fritsch 3. Hannan 2. Melksham 1. Jetta
  10. Yes, that Dunn and Howe are good. Would like to have them at the Dees ? Dons losing, but no worries, they’ll play themselves back into form next week.
  11. Tom Forward!! He’s A great shot for goal, while not a great kick from defense. Keep Frost in defense and TMac as relief ruck.
  12. Thats what I’m talking about Clint. I agree with you Lucifers, except i think it can be predicted or noticed when we’re fading a bit. EG. After our high energy Q1 yesterday i expected us to slow up and we did, but foolishly nothing was done about it until half time when it was too late!!! We need to achnowledge that the pendulum swings in a game and have plans prepared to use that to advantage and mitigate damage when we’re having some poor minutes.
  13. 6- Trac 5- oliver 4- Gawn 3- Jones 2- Vince 1- Hogan
  14. Hi Lucifers. Yes we normally fade at some stage, if not we’re exhausted and lose the following week. Perhaps it’s unreasonable to expect out attacking game style to be executed hell- for- leather for 100 minutes without fatigue? If so then wouldn’t it work, if within any quarter, coaching or leadership could predict the pendulum swinging or predict or quickly identify fatigue starting and SIGNAL our entire team just to go into possession football for a few minutes; keepings off to frustrate and exhaust the opposition, preventing their run- on while we recharge for our next onslaught? It would stop them killing us in those minutes; keep us in control and be a mandatory part “b” of our overall game plan and strategy. It should happen BEFORE we’re too tired to execute it. A different signal could cue us back to attack mode. Players could expect and look for those signals. Some ways to switch gears during a quarter when we’re under the pump.
  15. Fabulous, Petracca so strong, Jones, Peder
  16. Good points Farmer. We’re short a huge dominant key defender. I’m concerned about Hawkins, Ben Brown etc kicking 6 on us. TMacs goal kicking is too good to not have him a KPF. I’ll risk offending people here by saying that Hogan’s a dominant player anywhere on the field, has trouble kicking goals unless pretty close to the sticks, but I’d LOVE to see him take on Hawkins, Brown etc., he might kill them and would learn a lot while doing it.
  17. I 100% agree OD. He’s a reliable, dominant player who can run all day, rarely misses a goal or a game, yet is under appreciated here. He’s worth as much as anyone on our list.
  18. Thanks again D_J, the AFLX option has now appeared in my “Global Pass” App, although it wasn’t showing 12 hours ago when I made my post. Everything you posted is what I always thought was the status. Cheers, R
  19. Hi folks. Please correct me if I’ve got this wrong because I live in the USA so may not know: AFLX is played on soccer, rugby and american football grounds largely to make it easier to find grounds to play on overseas, thereby making it easier to promote AFL type football overseas correct? Why then do the AFL seem to have failed to have the upcoming AFLX games aired through the AFL Global Pass, which I think is the only way to watch AFL live from overseas? "Diamond_Jim said it was promoted as being shown on the “AFL live App”, which i thought was the same as the global pass, but nowhere on my global pass app are upcoming AFLX games mentioned!? So to summarize my post, they’re introducing a game aimed toward overseas audiences but they’re not allowing overseas people to watch it. Can that be right? Thanks, RM
  20. Thanks DJ. I’ve not heard about that.
  21. Hi “rjay”. You sure got that one correct. After looking forward to it, that half was frustrating to watch.
  22. Anyone know whether it’ll be on the “Watch AFL global pass”? ..or anywhere else it could be seen from Los Angeles? I’m just curious to see it. Thanks.
  23. Inspired by Little Goffys post above i watched the entire R23 game. ...missed it back then. Pies gave it their best. IMO Watts’ poor last quater was a bit exaggerated above. When we were thrashed in Q1 he was our best player, was good in Q2, maybe still our best by half time,,, average third and poor last quarters. I think the public nature of his unfair MFC treatment foolishly reduced his trade value for us. Here’s wishing Jack every success at Port Adelaide!
  24. Okay he's not Dusty or Dangerfield, but who is? Tyson's an ideal candidate to trade; he's a very decent afl standard player who usually gets the ball, something some teams would really value. We slightly over recruited inside mids so to trade for a current need would be a win win.
  25. I'd love to keep him if he'll stay for not too much moolah. Same height and weight as TMac and even faster! A powerful, dominant athlete who hopefully can improve his skills a bit and really be something.
