If we play in Darwin, we have no hope because Port will be playing in Alice Springs. We will need to be on the same ground if we're going to beat them.

"STFU Donny!"... Great piece of film-making. I don't understand why some people just don't get it. What were we talking about?
-
Apparently Tom Mitchell had 60+ possessions in the seconds last round. If this can't get him a game you'd think he might be a little frustrated.

All I'm saying OD is that sometimes you've just got to let yourself go. I understand what you're saying but I'm prepared for disappointment at any moment and will deal with it if it comes. I'm enthused at the moment and my natural optimism is being fueled by some visibly significant improvement. At the moment, the lid is off and the jar is half full. When we beat Richmond next week by 37 points I expect to see you unscrewing the lid and letting the good times in. My metaphors are getting messy. A bit like the orgasms!

Just had a look at that. The difference is that Viney's was entirely legal. If Whelan did that today he wouldn't play for 12 weeks.
-
Posting it twice doesn't make it true. But yes, that was pretty damn good.
-
He may not be the Messiah, OD; he may in fact just be a very naughty boy but that doesn't detract from the example he sets and the hope he gives to supporters. Did anybody say, "Yeah, look, that bloke God, he made the world in seven days but let's wait until he's done it a few more times before we get too excited"? FFS OD - live a little, get excited.

The most significant piece of play from a Melbourne player since David Neitz's bump and goal on Luke McCabe in 2002.
-
Barrett says, "He could have gone in softer". I think that says it all!
-
You speak wisely and well, oh ancient one. Get on board you freeloaders.
-
Great work. Obviously too much time on your hands but appreciated nonetheless.

Or is it from connecting with Georgiou's shin as he hits the ground? There are several possibilities that make any definitive assessment tenuous. Surely the tribunal can see that Viney had no time to sidestep and that there is some doubt about how Lynch broke his jaw. Can common sense prevail just this once in AFL land?
-
The AFL must have a good hard look at themselves here. They run the risk of being the laughing stock of the sporting world. Not only is the decision laughable, it's dangerous. They speak about duty of care but fail to consider the ramifications for Viney had he not protected himself. The only way he could have avoided the contact was to have made a decision not to go after the hard ball. Do they want that stat to disappear from the game? Does contested possession become the next casualty. What will happen if Jeremy Howe collects somebody's head during his next big mark? Goodbye to the specky? My oh my. FMD.
-
Impossible to make any sense of this at all. The first time in ten years a Melbourne player has played good hard football and he's now in danger. WTF?
-
Yeah, it's back in the bottle now but I stand by my call! WE'RE BAAAACK!
-
I don't want to go too early on this but - we're back! Pigs can fly Melbourne can win interstate. Anything is possible.

DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR - ROUND 7
The Reverend replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6. Dawes 5. Tyson 4. Viney 3. JKH 2. Jetta 1. Vince -
I'm speechless. this will give our boys so much confidence for the future that they can start believing in their ability to strangle the opposition and win ugly. Who cares how we win? I'll take anything. Soooo good.
-
I'm so happy. This is such an important win. It paints the next few weeks in an entirely different light. It means that games are winnable and not immediately written off as losses. We can compete. Thank you Paul Roos. Thank you Mark Neeld - for getting us Chris Dawes and for opening up the way for Roos.

Ya gotta believe in something Old Dee. Believe in this: It's a grand old flag It's a high flying flag It's the emblem for me and for you It's the emblem of the team we love The team of the red and the blue Ev'ry heart beats true For the red and the blue And we sing this song to you Should auld acquaintance be forgot Keep your eye on the red and the blue! It was grand and it will be grand again, but we all have to believe!

No wonder nobody takes me seriously. I don't think I've got another forty years in me. I promise I will stand in the rain at every opportunity from now on though.
-
I might have to head out for another 40 days and nights in the desert to seek clarification, cos the Mick thing has shaken my belief just a tad. As for the bombers, I believe it will have an outcome by mid year. Whilst I don't particularly wish ill on anybody, it would be pleasing to see some justice handed out. At this stage OD, if I give up hope all I've got is whisky and Tony Abbott is probably going to take that away from me before long.
-
I've been deep in meditation and reflection as I contemplate the future success of my beloved demons. I've ventured into the desert seeking enlightenment and have returned with renewed optimism. When I asked the question, I heard a dulcet voice proclaim, "Have faith Crawf52, the time is coming." I asked when I could expect to be rewarded for my faith and I was told, "When Vlad departs, Mick realises he's just not up to it and the Bombers get their fair whack. When these three things have come to pass your faith will be rewarded and the Dees will enjoy a century of unparalleled success." It cant be that far, away can it?

Cheery chap aren't you?
