THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
I can't believe Steve Dank is letting Hird go through this. I mean he has all of the evidence to exculpate everyone involved! Is that what Hird senior was referring to as "people that have let James down".

Indeed. Who's to say this latest chapter isn't just another part of the charade to try and shake some of the manure off. Sorry, but it's sticking,

The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
Thought I'd bump this thread now that Jesse is committed and we're beginning to see positive articles in the media like this one. These comments in particular warmed the cockles of my heart; "Being away from family and friends was something I was going to have to sacrifice, but in the end it's worth it," he said. "We're building something special at this club and if I was to potentially leave and to miss that and watch these boys achieve whatever they achieve ... it would be pretty hard for me to watch." Losers become winners

I've got a mate who's young fella also plays for the Mustangs. Says he's got it all and will play league footy.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Barrett got this wrong just as he did the Lewis deal of picks. The bloke really has NFI and just drivels shyte for a living.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
On face value of the current situation, I would offer them the choice of this years third rounder or next years second rounder and let them process that. At least next year we'll be back in the first round with better leverage to trade for an established A grader or take it to the draft. I feel that the value of players so far during this trade period is below what we're used to seeing from years gone by. The points system may have something to do with this and clubs may just want to get deals done before it gets too complicated.

Didn't have a lot of competition for his role before he went down concussion. Now he has, Hunt, Wagner, Vince (sort of), Melksham and Hibberd.

Delistings
Fair enough, although I think you're being too critical on this occasion.

Just in ANB's case?

So you're saying that two years is too long? There' so many examples in of late draft picks taking a couple of years to find their feet at AFL level. Dane Swan is a classic and probably a suitable comparison to ANB. ANB is not deadwood.

The guy was drafted in the 40's and has shown glimpses of AFL level footy. If the club starts churning through draftees at a rate of 2 years then you're out, I'd be pretty concerned.

Delistings
Did you get to a lot of Casey games? Or are you basing it off a couple of AFL showings?
-
Delistings
Give ANB another pre season and see if he comes on. I don't think it's wise to get rid of a 2 year player who has consistently dominated VFL games. Need to bear in mind that it's players like ANB that place the most pressure on the firsts to perform week in, week out.

Nat Fyfe
And in that universe, the brightest star is Cale Morton.

Nat Fyfe
I was only trying to substitute Nat Fyfe with Nat Umbruglia But it looks like it's started something and the post are getting sillier.

Nat Fyfe is the reigning Brownlow medalist though.

Fyfe at Melbourne would be akin to the impact of Dangerfield at Geelong.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Both Hibberd and Melksham have had a year out of footy but they're experienced best 22 footballers that will add to our half back and on-ball brigade. Depth within the list is looking better all the time.

He could be in the 'trade gun.' Has some worth as a bottom 6/fringe player.
-
Nat Fyfe
Fyfe is a different cat so heading off to the Gold Coast is well within his scope. He's also a footy nut so getting to Victoria might be his aim. If that's the case, the implications of picks and subsequent hand-offs will be complicated. But we're getting used to it.

Freo will need currency to lure those blokes. I think Fyfe is a real chance of going to Gold Coast.
