MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 10
McQueen replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
On a plane... gonna miss team announcement. -
Well this circumstance only lends itself to pushing out the inevitable rest period by another week. Goodwin has been almost nauseatingly heaping credit on ‘the high performance team’ of late so it’ll be interesting to see how they treat this one. It’ll be great if he makes it thru to the bye for a rest but it has a feeling about it which makes me feel a high level of doubt.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 10

If we lose this game the media will be so quick in pulling out the branding iron and stamping us as downhill skiers, flat track bullies etc. I don’t want that to happen. I think this will be another percentage boosting game for us. Dee’s by 59 points. -

What are the odds for Dangerfield to the Dee’s whilst you’re at it.

Correct. I apologise to everyone. Can we just talk about the footy now?

There's no doubt the Crows are significantly weaker with all of those outs. Matt Crouch would be a huge 'in' for them if he gets up and by the sound of it he should. But even then, I just feel that our contested ball game will be too much for even him. I reckon Lever will also have very good intel on how Lynch and Jenkins go about their forward craft which should be invaluable to limiting them to a losing score. I'm increasingly confident we can get the job done this weekend.

Surely both parties would be seeking minimum 4, maybe 5 year contract? What's he worth a season... $700K or is that now too little?
-
And the ump was right there who basically condoned it because of the flogger Lamb is. Bet he was thinking fair play, Mr Hibberd..

I posted that with no attempt of any connotation to indigenous folk although I admit that I can see it now. The original joke was purely around the use of Garrett instead of Garlett. Apologies to those it’s offended.

As long as he does a half time “how do we sleep when our beds are burning” all body dance I’m all for it.

No, by memory that was @Sir Why You Little. ?

So that’s the catch 22 though isn’t it. It’s essentially a queuing system that when the teams thereabouts you need to pay for the opportunity before others do.
-
So I'm thinking of forking out $229 (early bird still on offer) to ensure a seat if we do in fact make it to the big dance. Last year I waited until the North game in Tassie when we capitulated to make a call. This year, I think there'll be enough of a body of evidence come the bye to gauge from - maybe even wait for the Port game although I'm not sure of the cut-off date. I think the guarantee has doubled in price this year which is unfortunate but completely logical as the teams performance continues to improve. For those like me that don't have a top tier package with a GF seat included, are you thinking the same/similar approach? It's either this option or shell out ~$1300 come September if there's any seats available. Cheers

If I was Blues suppprter I’d be peed off with how Lamb carries on and the young bloke Mackay rubbing Hibbos head when the flogger just got a 50m penalty awarded to him. I think those boys resemble the MFC of years gone by whereas they’re just happy to be AFL footballers and couldn’t give a toss about results.

That’s a crap idea. Max is the fittest he’s been for yonks and is dominating every game against all opponents. He’s loving it and he’s hungry to smash in every week. He’s getting enough chop-outs now. The bye is in a few weeks time and he’ll get his rest then.

No changes. Surely we must go in as favourites against the Crows?

Just stopped staring at the AFL ladder for 5 minutes.
