  1. Bubs where were you during my entire childhood. I reckon i might have scored two or three grrr.
  2. Yes and too inside biased other than Tracc. Although Clarry at his best is not top shabby exiting stoppages either. Just this season he was a bit off in this area imv. Hopefully we can land a pacey outside mid with skills to boot in this draft. Bring Kozzy in for a fair chunk of mid minutes as well. Possibly Rivers? The other aside to this is if Howes can come in at some point and have an impact off HB, then Rivers 'might' be capable of taking one of the wings. Or even Howes himself. He started his career at Casey here. As solid as Hunter is defensively, we are really lacking some attacking run, fast ball movement and deep and/or accurate kicks inside 50 off that wing. While plenty of room for improvement as he's about 50/50 atm, Howes also has the ability to hit short targets.
  3. That is correct, perennial ducker / stager from the first match. The AFL allows this which doesn't help. One of Hotspur's players, Udogie, was red carded last night (yellow to red) against Luton for staging and they played a man down for the entire second half as a result. After 30 odd years of discussion and examples, we can't even come to grips with sin binning or red carding a Maytard thug act. He gets to play out the entire match AND come back the next week, plays in a Premiership, while his victim's team is a man short and a top 3 player down the following week. Laughable.
  4. Golly i'm old enough to recall seeing these guys. Had two hits and i recall they sounded a bit ho hum / flat. Might have played the Manhattan or the Burvale. Either way i remember sticky carpets and i never wanted to go back haha. The glug was the best. Didn't mind the orange one either was that the Razz. If you didn't get gold writing (rarely) i seem to recall it was always red otherwise. Maybe black. And deaver what Sacrilege! Wait till it melted then down the hatch! Wasted on those Windsor fellas.
  5. If wishes were horses! 640 i suspect you are doing more drinking than eating!
  6. Surely WC need the spread of players that a trade up from North offers them. They're list in a worse place than North's right now yes? North would be pretty keen and kind of fits their list profile to top up with what is supposedly the cream of the crop and put an exclamation on top of their recent ins. WC so devoid of talent. Do they have a big draft hand outside of 1? Haven't checked. Also if North trade a few with WC to get Reid does that help our chances at all to land Sanders or someone close to him that is genuinly rated. Must say, outside of Reid, i like the look of Caddy and, in particular, Sanders. Sanders probably given he appears to fit the inside/outside mid option we've been looking for who can also find the odd goal. Caddy appears to be a mostly medium-tall forward / part-time mid option yes?
  7. Not sure why everyone's so against Maddison. He's all class. Give him a few months to transition and he'll be kicking goals out of his backside!
  8. It's obvious to most where our flaws lie. We have to remember, May's looking at it from his subjective POV behind the ball. Things must look pretty good from where he's positioned and also the calibre / cohesion of players he has in the back 6. Trouble is once it goes forward of center he probably isn't seeing a hell of alot close up and therefore assumes rightly or wrongly that things will fix themselves if we just up the ante a little. Maybe with Petty back and a fit Brown, as Katrina aluded to, they might. Plus an injection or two from outside eg; McAdam. But there's still the manner in which we bring the ball in and the methods the forwards use etc that are of concern and will hopefully be addressed / significantly corrected in the off. After two seasons one would hope so anyway. Small (small - medium) forward roles need substantial adjustment as well imv. They can't all be defensive beasts. We need at least one to be a specialist attacking forward who focuses on getting to the drop with only a minor focus on full on team defending. More time spent front & square and also isolating them when possible a la the Pies with Bobby. If we come out bringing more of the same as per 22/23 in the first 5 - 6 rounds of 2024 that would be quite worrying. Fingers crossed Simon and crew ring the changes in the off including at the draft/trade table. An outside or inside/outside mid with pace/skills also critical.
  9. Great summary Jane. I saw most of it but nice to hear about the atmosphere etc from those who were there. Great little background on the Goody selection side. Did you happen to spot Clarry at all and who he was sitting with?
  10. DemonstoneS... Well that got me wondering why he only used the singular version. Hope everythings in order!

  13. Great club man and servant. Never met him but gave the impression he was a very humble, hard working chap. Unlucky not to get on the park in the GF but then again so was chunk. Good luck at the Swans and hope he gets to play a few finals (preferably not against us).

  19. Vn work Tracc. His best year so far yes?
  20. Petracca Seasonal Player Rating 2023 > 4.70 2022 > 4.45 2021 > 4.04 2020 > 3.55 2019 > 2.61 2018 > 2.93
  21. Maybe 2018? Seasonal Player Rating (statistically, H&A only, not including finals)... 2023 > 3.70 2022 > 3.97 2021 > 3.17 2020 > 2.90 2019 > 3.07 2018 > 4.50
