  1. They also want to cover off for a life without Tex. The two (us wanting McAdam & them Petty) are unrelated. Petty was never up as a required Premiership player with 2 years to run, yet they've then tried to link Petty in as part of the deal. They've then stormed out of the room in an attempt to make out that we're the ones not playing ball. Lmao! Talk about childish.
  2. Didn't he want a 2 year extension and only got an offer of 1 from the Hawks. Then dished em for a longer offer from the Lions. Now he wants to return again. What the. I wouldn't either!
  3. If his foot is being held up he can't kick and his trade value drops surely?
  4. We simply must hold our ground and don't budge. That offer was more than fair. What a 'Petty' bunch of Chardy sipping nancies!
  5. We won't know that untill after we see them perform at senior level BBP.
  6. Given it's SEN (Hutchy) probably some sort of AFL aassistance package in excess of Norf's (although i doubt that will ever be beaten unless the Pies or Blues spent a few years down the bottom)
  7. Rumour from my son, Dermie for Garry (Breakfast Show SEN)
  8. Sorry but what is you on about here W?
  9. The biscuit on the pie .... mmm. Maxi Bon isn't too shabby either
  10. You forgot the malt.... Oops scrap that, already added earlier. Two scoops would kill the bliss
  11. I wouldn't worry guys. If he has a stellar 2024 (emphasis on IF and touching wood, throwing salt over shoulder etc) then he may get an extension offer he can't refuse. Money talks
  12. I think they might be happy to chance it in 24. Look to use Fullarton as a potential chop out rather than a fully fledged ruck back up. While hoping that Verral comes on at Casey as the potential ruck for 2025. If he doesn't come on as expected in 24 then sure, we may need to start looking to trade in a serious alternative.
  13. Even just for the ruck chop out for Max in the middle (when resting, instead of a cooked Macca who can't ruck) and especially rucking inside 50 (instead of Macca and/or Tracc and/or no one), it was a no brainer to sub Schache in at half time for Macca. Dunstan was needed to relieve / assist Viney for at least the North game and even against the Hawks in order to manage him (as the sole 'effective' extractor while Clarry was out) and get him through to finals with something left in the tank. Viney came in to the QF playing quite well but then bombed out badly in that match. Backed up by his player rating which was 55% off his H&A season rating vs the Pies. Had Viney played anywhere near his best we may well have won that match and gone straight through to a Prelim. Having said that there was alot of 'IFs' for us in that match.
  14. We must have our sights set on someone as we gave up the equivalent of pick 17
  15. Is there any chance we are looking trade up 6 & 11 for North's 2?
  16. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1450535/melbourne-move-up-draft-order
  17. There's no way i'd take that deal unless we know something about Petty's injury likely to be cronic / recurring or worse. No Fogarty, no Petty. Big question marks over T-Mac and BB. A developing rookie in JVR. No-show Schache and an unkown in Fullarton. Good luck with that scenario in 24 😬
  18. That makes sense from an overs POV Pick 3 > 2,234 Picks 6 & 11 (plus steak knives) > 3,080 However North would most likely have specific targets in mind with 2 & 3 already. Also, from what i've read on here and from some scribes, 11 doesn't seem all that attractive in this draft yes? apologies to RPFC in advance
  19. That is why the Reid swap makes more sense for North & WC imv. WC would be crazy not to do some sort of deal. They need a spread and some depth. They have virtually zero of both at the moment and committing to Reid feels like a miss managed outcome (given where their list is at), even if he's the next Judd/Dusty. North also get back a player that won't be interested in going home and may be the equivalent (or possibly better) than JHF.
  20. Oh well, if wishes were horses. Just throwing it out there. I still think Norf are a last minute chance to to attempt the swap. There's also talk of the Hawks attempting it as well but i haven't checked their hand.
  21. While it would appear from the outside looking in that both club & player are amicably moving on, i personally feel the relationship has moved well beyond that sort of outcome. Plus there's the list issue of carrying four tall combos (ruck / forward-part time ruck) of Fullarton, Scache, Verral and Grundy surely.
  22. Fullarton. Outside of that, Shache (on paper only) as the non-playing sub. The only other option is an extremely green Verral.
