Well it all depends on what we consider a walloping Wise. You might say 12 goals or more. 50 points or more is about what i would consider a jolly good flogging!

Abe we will get walloped by the Crows. We are simply too easy to beat upstairs let alone on the park and we don't have a rucking division. And they kick directly and break lines. Something we only seem to do when we get behind far enough and the game seems almost gone. [censored] footy.....you are kidding yourself if you think we are improving after that rubbish today. That was just another one of our many "one step forward, two steps back" progress for the club that we've been seeing now since 2008/2009.

Given the talent and where we were at vs whorethorn coming into this match i would have to say that's our worst result since the Bongers match last year. We continually dish up this rubbish. No wonder we haven't played finals in over 10 years. As a club we are always FAR too happy with basic wins that should be par for the course like the one we saw last week, including at the selection table, and are never able to back up good wins with another 2 or 3 (or more!!) on the trot.

Who knows Wise. I wouldn't be surprised. At most other decent clubs, inexperienced players have to storm their way in via the Magoos with consistent solid performances before knocking more proven/experienced players out. Even if that extra experience is only one season or so. At the MFC we seem to allow no name juniors to quietly tap on the door and let them just cruise in. It's a huge mistake IMO that we seem to repeat over and over and which continually sees us topping up with "inexperienced" kids most weeks. It's certainly not the only reason why we lose so often, but it certainly doesn't help either. When you continually select more "unproven" (at AFL level) inexperienced kids, in preference to others who might still be early in their careers and developing but have shown they can play at times already (even if a little patchy as you would expect from rookies like Stretch, Harmes and Kent) then i think you get what you deserve. In the end we chose a no name untried player over three players that have shown they can contribute and play reasonably good AFL footy sometimes. I simply don't get or trust this FD anymore. They have selected their way into far too many losses this year to have any credibility in my eyes.

Stretch, Kent and Harmes are a long way ahead Olisik but i'm sure someone here will still find some way of making excuses for leaving JKH in next week. About the only positive was we saw (or didnt see) what JKH was capable of over the last 3 weeks and will hopefully now move on Deever. But i wouldnt count on our FD. I have no faith in them whatsover that they will select AFL capable players over others who have shown nothing in the past (or of late) worthy of a regular ongoing gig in the red & blue, other than "promise" or "prospect". The MFC is a revolving door in this regard and i haven't seen any change at the selection table here since 2007. We are always "out" with one non-contributer or two.... and "in" with a few others and you won't win too many matches with one or two players who don't contribute much over 4 quarters. Some can't even impact over two or more quarters during a match and still manage to be gifted a few more games! And here i was thinking we may have finally turned the quarter last week. How stupid am i. The Bongers must be horrid. We are still a bottom 6 club and extremely fragile upstairs regardless of who says we are on the improve!
